Although the high-pressure water jet pouring technology is powerful, its high pressure also brings a number of challenges. It's like walking on thin ice with a knife, and the slightest mistake can lead to a series of problems. Nozzles, high-pressure pumps, piping, sealing, fabrication, processing and installation require extremely delicate and demanding requirements. This undoubtedly makes the cost rise sharply, and for some highly sensitive charges, the high-pressure environment may cause **, which has huge potential safety hazards.
Faced with the challenge of high-pressure water jet pouring technology, we proposed a submerged cavitation water jet pouring technology based on the cavitation principle. This is like finding a calm corner in a rapid, using a low- and medium-pressure jet of 20 to 30 megapascals, through a clever nozzle design, to generate a large number of cavitation bubbles. These vacuoles release a powerful impact when they burst, significantly enhancing the operation of the jet.
The advantage of this method is that it requires a low jet pressure and can form a cavitation jet under submerged conditions. This not only improves the cavitation strength and operation efficiency of the jet, but also keeps the charge in a submerged water environment, which greatly reduces the risk of ignition and explosion during the operation process. This is undoubtedly a highly potential ammunition charge emptying technology, which has opened up a new path for the theoretical and experimental research of ammunition emptying in China. At present, the technology has been developed and produced by the enterprise and successfully applied to practice.
