Apple has announced a new subscription for the App Store"Conditional pricing"Function. According to the company, this provides developers with a"Attract and retain users"The new method, ie"As long as the user is actively subscribing to a different subscription, they can enjoy a subscription** discount"。

In an article by Apple Developer**, Apple explains:

Conditional pricing on the App Store is a new feature to help you attract and retain subscribers by allowing you to offer discounted subscriptions** to your customers as long as they're actively subscribing to a different subscription.

One of the interesting things about this new contingent pricing feature is that it can be used for both one developer's subscription and selling two different developers' subscriptions. For example, Apple explained that if a developer actively subscribes to another developer's subscription, then he can attract new users by offering a discounted price.

Conditional pricing is available for subscriptions from one developer or two different developers. For example, you can offer a premium subscription to Ocean magazine to start with 4$99 for a discounted monthly subscription to Climber instead of the normal 5$99 per month. As long as the customer remains a subscriber to Ocean, they can pay a discounted price.

Customers can discover these pricing discounts in apps, off-platform marketing channels, and program locations on the App Store. The Apple team helps manage the management and provide customers with a seamless redemption and purchase experience based on the contingent claims provided by the developer.

Apple says it's currently trialing the new feature, and developers can sign up to be notified when more details are available in January.
