1.Inconel601 material background

INCONEL601 is a commercial grade of a material developed by SMC Corporation in the United States, which is a high-temperature, corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-iron alloy with added metal aluminum, and the grade is Alloy UNS N06601 in the ASME standard. One of the outstanding properties of Inconel 601 alloy is its resistance to high temperatures and oxidation, even at temperatures up to 1180, it can still exhibit good oxidation resistance. Due to its high chromium content, the material is suitable for a wide range of corrosive media and high temperature environments, while the addition of aluminium further enhances the oxidation resistance.

2.Inconel601 applications

INCONEL601 material is an austenitic alloy with good high strength and high toughness, which is widely used in various thermal processes, chemical processes, environmental protection and power generation and other fields, such as radiant furnace tubes for oxygen preheaters in titanium dioxide production, insulating tanks used in ammonia modification, catalytic grid supports in nitric acid production equipment, catalytic regenerators and air preheaters in high-density polyethylene production.

4.Inconel601 welding method

Inconel 601 has good welding properties, and manual tungsten argon arc welding (GTAW) is recommended for optimal corrosion resistance. The power supply polarity is DC positive. The shielding gas is 100% AR with a purity of 9999%。
