The Long March 5 carrier rocket is a two-and-a-half-stage large cryogenic liquid rocket, mainly used to carry out medium and high orbit launch missions, with a take-off weight of about 874 tons, a take-off thrust of 1,068 tons, and a geosynchronous transfer orbit carrying capacity of 14 tons.

For the first time, the rocket adopted a newly developed diameter of 52 meters, 18 meters highThe 5-meter fairing, capable of accommodating a larger payload, further increases the rocket's mission adaptability.
