Double layer shielded cable classification

During this time, I checked my friend's reply and found that many friends are not very clear about the classification of double-layer shielded cables.

Double-shielded cable is a special type of cable that is mainly used for applications that require high transmission of high-frequency signals and anti-interference capabilities. Its shielding structure is divided into inner shielding layer and outer shielding layer, which can effectively suppress external electromagnetic interference.

The classification of double-layer shielded cables is usually determined according to their shielding effect and anti-interference ability. Common grades are single shield (U UA), double shield (S STA, S FTP, F UTP) and triple shield (SF UTP, SFTP) etc.

Maintenance methods: 1. Regular inspection: regularly check whether the connection and shielding of the cable are intact, and repair and connect in time if damaged, loose or poor grounding and other problems are found.

2.Protective measures: Keep the double-shielded cable away from the source of electromagnetic interference, and avoid exposure to harsh environments such as high temperature, high humidity, and corrosion.

3.Cleaning and maintenance: Clean the outer shield of the cable regularly to avoid the accumulation of impurities such as dust and oil. Use a special cleaning solution and a soft cloth for cleaning, and do not use detergents with strong acids and alkalis.

Troubleshooting: 1. Signal interruption: Check the connection part first to make sure the cable connection is firm. If the connection is fine, you can try replacing it with a new double-shielded cable to test to determine if the cable itself is faulty.

2.Signal interference: If you notice a deterioration in signal quality or interference, you can check if the shielding of the cable is damaged or broken. If the shielding is intact, it may be interference caused by other external factors, and the source of interference needs to be found and appropriate measures to be eliminated.

3.Grounding problem: If you find that the cable is poorly grounded, you can check whether the grounding wire is firmly connected, and at the same time check whether the grounding point meets the requirements. If the grounding wire and grounding point are normal, the grounding resistance can be detected with the help of specialized equipment to determine if a grounding repair is needed.

In terms of maintenance and troubleshooting, double-layer shielded cables need to pay attention to the integrity of cable connection and shielding to avoid the influence of electromagnetic interference and external factors. Timely detection and treatment of problems can ensure the normal operation and transmission quality of the cable.
