The Beijing News reported that the Ministry of Education recently issued the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Prevention and Control of Epidemic Diseases in Winter Schools", deploying local education administrative departments and schools to do a good job in the prevention and control of epidemic diseases in winter. The notice requires that teachers and students with fever, cough and other symptoms be instructed to do a good job of protection, timely medical treatment, standardization, scientific medication, and not go to school with illness.
Previously, in response to the phenomenon of children doing homework while infusion in the pediatric clinic of the hospital, the Education Working Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Education Commission proposed that the school would not make mandatory requirements for the homework of students during their illness, and it was not recommended to rush or make up homework during the illness, and everything was based on the child's body.
From "it is not recommended to rush and make up homework during illness" to "go to school without illness", the education department attaches great importance to the impact of the current wave of epidemic on students' health, and its statements are becoming more and more clear and concrete. Educational administrative departments and schools in all localities should be able to hear this voice, and quickly implement it, so that the "ministerial order" can be transmitted to every school, every parent and student.
It should be noted that the notice requirements of the Ministry of Education are in the implementation of the decision-making and deployment of the Ministry of Education, and the specific and refinement of the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Infection and Other Key Infectious Diseases in Winter and Spring" issued by the Comprehensive Group of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism. This is also the inevitability of "a game of chess for the whole country".
As a susceptible population, it is very important to do a solid job in the prevention and control of epidemic diseases in schools in winter, and to ensure the health of teachers and students and the normal order of education and teaching. But in reality, a lot of resistance is not actually in the "truth", but in how to really do things in accordance with the "reason", how to really take not going to school without illness as a common sense, and then form a consensus.
It is impossible for schools and parents who have experienced the epidemic for three years not to know the importance of epidemic prevention. However, it's one thing to know, it's another to choose; It's one thing to know at this time, and it's another thing to be able to implement it at that time. Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain why so many children are doing their homework while getting injections, let alone why many children are still going to school sick.
I believe that parents are a little helpless. For example, if the child is sick, he is not very happy to ask for leave, he is worried that the homeroom teacher has a bad attitude, and he is worried that the child will "register" with the homeroom teacher from now on. In a word, I am worried that my child will be under psychological pressure and even hurt while suffering from illness.
In reality, some schools place too much emphasis on discipline and order, which often leads to children not daring to ask for leave. In the middle, of course, it is not excluded that some parents are anxious, afraid of falling behind in their homework, afraid that their children will not be able to keep up with the rhythm, etc. Although this anxiety may have been overthought in a few years, at the time, it was difficult for parents to completely let go.
And in the eyes of the school, it also seems to be very preoccupied. On the one hand, the school tries its best to count the health status of students every day and keep track of the number and proportion of students who are on leaveOn the other hand, they are chasing students through various channels to listen to lectures and complete homework. Especially nowadays, most primary and secondary schools have remote teaching facilities, and students are often required to take online classes at home even if they take time off.
Far from eliminating the concerns of parents and students, these practices of the school have increased their psychological burden, making them unable and unwilling to be a complete patient, and freedom and relaxation are even more rare.
Such an impasse must be broken. From the perspective of the administrative departments in charge of education, making it clear that not going to school with illness is tantamount to drawing a basic teaching bottom line, which all education practitioners and students should abide by as one. This should also be a consensus from the perspective of schools and parents.
Attending classes and going to school is important, but the physical health of children is even more important. Students don't have to go to class during illness, so they can get better rest, and they can also relax their tense nerves a little, which is conducive to faster and better**. In this way, not only will you not fall behind in your studies, but you will increase your interest in learning Xi because of your relaxation. Therefore, the school has every opportunity to make up for the missing courses and assignments.
It should be common sense not to go to school without illness, but now the Ministry of Education has to issue a notice to confirm it. This also shows from one side that today's primary and secondary school students have a long way to go to reduce their burden, and they still need to draw inferences from one case and continue to make efforts, starting from respecting common sense and caring for children, and making great efforts to reduce the pressure on children's shoulders.
