1.Ultraviolet radiation
Ultraviolet sterilization is the use of appropriate wavelength of ultraviolet light to destroy the DNA or RNA structure in the cells of microorganisms, causing growth cell death to achieve the sterilization effect, which is a physical way of sterilization, and it is also the most commonly used sterilization method in our microbial detection clean room. This method is simple, easy to use, and relatively economical, and can kill a variety of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, rickettsia, and mycoplasma, so it is the most common sterilization method in the laboratory.
2.Ozone sterilization
Ozone is a strong oxidizing agent, and the sterilization process is a biochemical oxidation reaction. There are generally three principles of O3 sterilization:
1) Ozone inactivates and dies bacteria by oxidizing the enzymes needed to decompose glucose inside bacteria.
2) Directly interact with bacteria and viruses to destroy their organelles and DNA and RNA, so that the metabolism of bacteria is damaged, resulting in the death of bacteria.
3) Through the cell membrane tissue, it invades the cell, acts on the lipoprotein in the membrane and the lipopolysaccharide inside, changes the permeability of the cell, and causes the cell to lyse and die.
The use of ozone sterilization, sterilization thoroughly, no residue, sterilization broad-spectrum, can kill bacterial propagules and spores, viruses, fungi, etc., and can destroy botulinum toxin. In addition, ozone also has a strong killing effect on mold. Ozone is a gas, which can quickly diffuse into the entire sterilization space, and there is no dead angle for sterilization. Ozone sterilization is also a widely used sterilization method. The air must be disinfected with ozone in a closed space and under the condition that no one is in the room, and it can only be entered after at least 30 minutes after disinfection.
In addition, ozone is denser than air and can quickly drop to the bottom of the space in the air, so the ozone generator should also be installed on top of the sterile room. The sterilization time can be selected as 30min, and the ozone concentration in the space is not less than 20mg m3.
