In December 2017, several domestic and foreign ** reported that Huang Shuai, a female editor from Beijing University of Technology Press, died of cancer in the hospital at the age of 57. An ordinary female staff member of a publishing house is concerned because decades ago, the word Huang Shuai was known to everyone in China. At that time, Huang Shuai was still a primary school student. 
Giving advice to teachers, he was "retaliated against" Zhongguancun No. 1 Primary School, located in the core area of Beijing's Zhongguancun Hi-Tech Park, was founded in 1949. In the second half of 1973, 13-year-old Huang Shuai was in the fifth grade at the school. One day in September, the Chinese teacher criticized a student who had deserted in class. Because the student did not abide by the classroom discipline and made some small movements, the teacher was so angry that he said, "I really want to knock you on the head with the whip!"Huang Shuai wrote about it in his diary that day. 
The teacher didn't hit the student, but Huang Shuai felt that the teacher's tone was too impulsive, and said in his diary: "You can't say this sentence accurately enough, I hope you can be patient and help your classmates' mistakes, and pay more attention to your ......."Who knows, when the head teacher checked the diary, he saw what Huang Shuai wrote, and criticized her in public: "You are demolishing the teacher's platform and lowering the teacher's prestige!"But Huang Shuai didn't admit his mistake, and the teacher was very angry and called on the whole class to criticize her, "Don't follow her to learn, draw a line with her!."For more than two months, Huang Shuai was "besieged" at school and "rectified" everywhere. Huang Shuai was very aggrieved, and he didn't know what to do, so he wrote a letter to "Beijing**", hoping that the newspaper would come forward to end this teacher-student conflict. 
The little hero who goes against the trend," Huang Shuai wrote in the letter, "....I just wrote down my heartfelt words in my diary, but the teacher has been holding on to them for the past two months. For many days, I couldn't eat, and I cried in my dreams at night, but I was not subdued, and I gave my opinion again and again. What serious mistake did I make?Do we want our young people in the new era to be slaves under the enslavement of the old education system's 'dignity of the teacher'?Huang Shuai's original intention in writing this letter was just to hope that the teacher would no longer target her, so that she could learn Xi with peace of mind. She never expected that she would become famous all of a sudden. In view of the well-known background of the times, Huang Shuai soon received a reply from a leader in Beijing, who said that this is not a matter of relationship with your teacher, but a matter of national affairs. 
Soon, "Beijing**" received instructions to go to the school to investigate the matter, and published Huang Shuai's letter and several diary excerpts under the title "Letters and Diary Excerpts from Primary School Students";Then "People**" made the full text on the front page. Within a few days, Huang Shuai became a household name in China, and was dubbed "the little revolutionary hero who dared to go against the trend". Many places invited her to give speeches, encouraging primary and secondary school students across the country to rebel against the "dignity of teachers" in the old society and criticize the shortcomings of the education sector. According to Huang Shuai's later recollection, after the letter was sent, she regretted it a little, because "I was originally wrong, and the Chinese teacher was usually very good to us." However, as Huang Shuai received in reply, things have turned into a national wave. 
The ups and downs of life Huang Shuai incident is regarded as "a symbol of an era" and has been published twice by the New York Times. According to some insiders, Huang Shuai was almost "entrusted with a heavy task" because of this, but for some reason it was not implemented. Huang Shuai's life was inevitably involved in the wave of sports. Fortunately, this is slowly coming to an end. In 1979, Huang Shuai was admitted to Beijing University of Technology with excellent results. While in college, a letter of defense written by Huang Shuai was taken seriously, and her father was finally "rehabilitated", reinstated and paid back wages. The family finally ushered in a peaceful life. After graduating from university, Huang Shuai joined the work and submitted an application to study abroad for graduate school. At first, she received an offer from a university in Germany, and then she went to Japan by mistake. After studying hard in Japan for a few years, she obtained a master's degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and worked in a research institute in Japan for two years, then got married and had children, and became a housewife. After Xi ten years of studying and living in Japan, Huang Shuai missed his parents so much that he returned to China and found a job at the Beijing University of Technology Press, which belongs to his alma mater. She visits her parents every week, and the family is happy.
