Danfeng to Shanyang section of the expressway belongs to the east section of Danning Expressway, the route east from Danfeng County Zhulinguan Town, connected to G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway, west to Gaobadian Town, Shanyang County, connected to G70 Fuyin Expressway, passing through Danfeng County Zhulinguan, Tumen and Shanyang County Yinhua, Zhongcun, Gaobadian two counties 5 towns, a total length of 385 km, of which 13 are Danfeng sections50 km, Shanyang section 25021 kilometers, using two-way four-lane highway standard construction, design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, roadbed width of 26 meters, the establishment of 6 interchanges (including 2 hub interchanges), 4 toll stations, the estimated total investment of 61400 million yuan. After the section of the road is opened to traffic today, there is no need to detour G70 Fuyin Expressway between Shanyang County and Shangnan County, and the one-way traffic distance will be reduced by more than 60 kilometers, which can save more than 40 minutes. 
It is reported that the Danning Expressway (G4015) traverses the three cities of Shangluo, Ankang and Hanzhong in Shaanxi Province at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains from east to west, connecting Shanghai-Shaanxi (G40), Fuyin (G70), Baomao (G65), Shitian (G7011) and Beijing-Kunming (G5) five national highways, with a total length of 260 kilometers, of which 42 kilometers are parallel with Fuyin and Baomao Expressway, and 218 kilometers are planned to be newly built. The new section is divided into three sections: eastern, central and western, of which 79 kilometers of the middle section from Shanyang to Zhashui (Shuiyang Expressway) has been completed and opened to traffic in December 2018. 1004 kilometers, which has been included in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" mid-term adjustment plan by the Ministry of Communications, and Shangluo City and Ankang City are jointly carrying out preliminary work. 
Dan (Feng) Ning (Shaanxi) Expressway is an important east-west link line across the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi, forming an important passage and economic corridor connecting the northwest, southwest, Central Plains, East China and South China.
