Let's start with traditional education
One of Confucius's educational philosophies, "Teaching students according to their aptitude", I think everyone knows what this means, "The educator implements the appropriate teaching method according to the actual situation and personality characteristics of the person being educated", but if we look at this sentence carefully, we will find that this is a difficult task.
What's the difficulty, the word includes two processesSectionThe first is the theoretical basis "according to the material", and the second is the "teaching" of the landing action, let's break it down in turn.
First of all, "according to aptitude", that is, the teacher must be able to accurately summarize and analyze the personality characteristics and actual situation of the students, which requires the teacher to be knowledgeable, unique and long-term, and have a strong ability to recognize and distinguish people. Students are inherently diverse, and once the judgment is wrong, it is equivalent to the theoretical foundation being wrong in the first place, let alone in the future. This is actually very easy to understand, we live in a society full of people, if you were asked to accurately judge a person's personality, thoughts and actual situation, would you be able to accurately judge it every time?I guess it's not easy.
The second is "teaching", which is a learning action that can be effectively implemented after the teacher accurately judges Xi the student. This requires the teacher to have a lot of experience, be flexible and sober-minded, know many different feasible Xi learning methods and will match the students, pay attention to the must be feasible, rather than a random method that sounds "high", foggy, and does not take into account the actual situation of the students.
Of course, we will not discuss whether the students will do what the teacher tells us, this is another topic, and I will sort it out and write it out and communicate with you when I have time.
Assuming that students do it, they may be able to see the effect within a period of time, not necessarily in terms of scores, but in terms of experience or perceptual progress, such as the mentality of learning Xi, the level of interest, and the mental difficulty of learning Xi, which is actually very important. This kind of progress at the level of learning Xi experience is the way to truly identify with the learning Xi and one's own learning Xi from the bottom of my heart.
After all, different disciplines, different stages of learning Xi, and psychological changes of students will affect this process, so teachers need to observe and communicate with students at all times.
These two processes are extremely demanding on the teacher, who is omniscient and experienced, but also attentive, committed and constantly attentive to the changes of each student. This is just a requirement of "teaching students according to their aptitude", so a true educator is really noble and great, and down-to-earth. This is also one of the reasons why Confucius is called a "sage" by us, and the teacher should be called a "sage". It is also one of my goals as a teacher.
Second, let's talk about Western education
I don't have much research on Western education, but even so, I know that a large part of the current state of our education today is actually based on Western education. I think we have our own traditional education system, but at the same time, in order to keep up with and adapt to the Western-dominated society, many Western education forms have been mixed into our system, and the proportion of Western education is much greater than that of traditional education.
It is unknown whether the combination will succeed in the end, but the process of blending is extremely painful, and few students will find it really enjoyable to learn Xi in school. So we often hear a lot of criticism, and that's right.
I think the most heard by the vast majority of people, and the most recognized by the public, is the so-called quality education! In my opinion, this is actually the Western "teaching students according to their aptitude", but it is a superficial version. If exam-oriented education is a dead score, then quality education is to focus on the spiritual quality of students, they are "dismantling" students, which can be combined, grow together, and complement each other, how can it be disassembled into two different pieces? This doesn't make sense.
However, if we cannot directly restore traditional education, nor can we fully accept the Western form of education, it will be very fragmented, and now we are exploring, using the wisdom of our ancestors to explore a new way.
I have also read a lot of books written by Western educators, and most of their educational ideas are derived through various "scientifically rigorous" experiments. I am a science teacher, especially a biology teacher with many exceptions and a large number of experimentally irrelevant variables that are super difficult to control, so I know the various principles, steps, and conclusions of experiments.
If I talk about experiments, it will be difficult for people to understand, so we will use medicine as an example, medicine is to heal diseases, education is to heal people, and the principle is the same. I think there is a sentence that penetrates the summary of Western medicine - "headache heals the head, foot pain cures the foot", while Chinese medicine pays attention to the correspondence between heaven and man, the balance of yin and yang, and the treatment from the whole. Everyone also says that Chinese medicine is like metaphysics, and Chinese medicine can try diseases that cannot be cured by Western medicine. (Please forgive me if the metaphor is inappropriate).
This is the same as education, if you just disassemble the students, "* will not click" is inefficient and unbalanced. Western education is still developing, and it is still improving step by step, while traditional education has developed for thousands of years, and I dare not say that it is very perfect, but I think it is ahead of Western education, and I am not blindly advocating the concept of traditional education, but trying to think and explore the way to educate children in a more holistic way.
The above are just some of my own thoughts, recorded and sent out to communicate with you, the above views and content are not necessarily correct, if it can trigger everyone to think that it is the best, if you do not agree with the above content, then you should have a good time.
By the way, the biology winter vacation class has begun to be booked, and if you need to know and consult, you can pay attention to the background to find me.
