The strange phenomenon in the calligraphy and painting circle is that everyone likes to criticize and listen to criticism. Whether it is some calligraphers and painters or some collectors, they either like to criticize others, or they are immersed in the process of listening to and criticizing others. What's more serious is that when it comes to the short ** related to the category of calligraphy and painting, the people who are popular are those who are criticizing the deceased and the famous calligraphers and painters who are still alive. This kind of behavior of immersing oneself in criticism and listening to criticism is harmful to the development of calligraphy and painting and the dissemination of calligraphy and painting art. Therefore, I personally feel that criticism is not the goal, and criticism should not be regarded as a kind of catharsis of personal anger. Instead, we should see the reality clearly in criticism, and do our best through the enlightenment brought by criticism. This is not the good of good people, but finding the right way for oneself and taking the way well. You must know that all the points that are criticized are shining points and bright spots. No matter what is criticized, learn it well, and avoid it if it is bad.
For calligraphers, painters and collectors, in the criticism they hear, they should learn, rather than be guided by these criticisms, and also become critics. The criticism of these critics is because criticism can bring them traffic, rather than a real rational fair and impartial analysis and explanation, but only to amplify some of the negative events and stories of the people they criticize. I personally think that these amplified negative events or stories are exactly what our contemporary calligraphers, painters, collectors and calligraphy and painting lovers should ponder and learn from in detail. As for why?You just need to remember that the criticism points that make the critics famous, that is, the negative part that you think are the key points for calligraphers and painters to become famous, are also the path that all calligraphers and painters who want to become famous must take!So, calligraphers and painters!Savor it and ponder this passage.
