In order to further enhance the status of biodiversity conservation, the taste and comprehensive competitiveness of eco-tourism, accelerate the pace of building international eco-cultural tourism destinations, highlight the unique cultural heritage and spiritual outlook, and promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, from June to mid-September this year, the Propaganda Department of the Ganzi Prefecture Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ganzi Prefecture Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau launched the "State Flower" and "State Bird" collection and selection activities for the world. The solicitation and selection activities are composed of publicity and mobilization, public solicitation and voting, expert review and other sections.
In the publicity and mobilization link, Ganzi Prefecture comprehensively sorted out the well-known and ornamental flower and bird resources in Ganzi Prefecture, determined 11 officially recommended "state flowers" and "state birds", opened up online and offline voting channels to open the referendum, and nearly 20 central provinces reported on the event, which received 9 million + **. In the stage of soliciting votes, Ganzi Prefecture opened the mini program voting operation mode to improve online participation. So far, the total number of participants is 22240,000, 22 officially created works, 96 valid registration works submitted by the public, and the online views of the voting mini program exceeded 6.73 million+, and a series of activities were carried out at the same time.
In the expert review process, Ganzi Prefecture finally recommended Gongga Begonia as the "State Flower" and the Golden Eagle as the "State Bird" based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors such as online voting, regional representativeness, industry expert suggestions, popularity among netizens, and tourism brand moldability.

In the next step, Ganzi Prefecture will strive to convert online traffic into passenger flow and further expand the influence of "state flowers" and "state birds" through VI visual design solicitation, flower and bird film exhibition, selection of the best flower and bird viewing places, product promotion of flower and bird viewing routes, and launch of themed cultural and creative products.
