What are the advantages of OpenEuler for multiple operating systems?
With the advancement of digitalization, the operating system has become the foundation for software and hardware resource management collaboration to meet the application needs of industry users. At present, there are many server operating system players, what advantages does OpenEuler have over these vendors?
In this regard, Jiang Dayong talked about the pain points in the operating system industry. In the past, the operating system market has formed a soft chimney development model in which one chip, one architecture matches one operating system, and one application corresponds to the development model. This makes it necessary for the application vendor to adapt to each type of soft chimney.
In the face of this pain point, OpenEuler creatively proposes a set of first-class and a set of architectures to support diversified computing power and all scenarios. To this end, OpenEuler has strived to be an international and global community since the first day of its establishment. In Jiang Dayong's view, the development of everything needs an entry point. OpenEuler is developing rapidly in the Chinese market because it meets the needs of the industry.
As for the opportunity to go global, Xiong Wei believes that in the past one or two years, there have been some impacts such as global service suspension, which has made overseas markets look for new alternative platforms. "There are already some overseas customers consulting, and even some customers are doing verification, and it is still very possible to be overseas in the future. Xiong Wei introduced.
In addition, in Xiong Wei's view, donating to the Open Atom Open Source Association will play a positive role in the internationalization of OpenEuler. Xiong Wei said that on the one hand, after OpenEuler donated to the first meeting, it changed from an enterprise project to an industrial and international project, with neutral attributes, and the entire internationalization process accelerated. For example, many large enterprises in Europe and around the world have joined OpenEuler and even made donations.
On the other hand, the channels that will be owned by the ** will help OpenEuler go overseas. For example, during this conference, seven global open source organizations will be invited to the site to help OpenEuler go global.
At present, the OpenEuler community has carried out in-depth cooperation with 9 overseas leading open source associations, providing services for more than 150 countries and regions, and building a new global open source ecosystem. OpenEuler has supported 98% of the world's mainstream open source software, and is deeply involved in the formulation and promotion of security standards and specifications for global mainstream software such as OpenChain and OpenSSF.
When going global, OpenEuler will encounter international giants such as Microsoft, Google, and AppleXiong Wei believes that the development of AI provides opportunities for OpenEuler. At present, OpenEuler and AI are deeply integrated, using the ChatGPT basic model, based on a large number of Euler operating system ** and data, to train EulerCopilot.
OpenEuler also manages and schedules heterogeneous resources in a unified manner, coordinates memory and computing power, and implements deep integration of CPUs and NPUs, fully exploits idle resources, improves effective utilization, improves AI training and inference performance, and enables AI to be more efficient.
