According to overseas ** reports, the adoption rate of electric vehicles has recently come to a standstill, and automakers have responded by generally cutting investment in electric vehicles. Ford is no exception, and the automaker plans to scale back production of the F-150 Lightning next year.

According to relevant news reports, Ford has informed the company that it expects to reduce the average weekly production of 1,600 Lightning units at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan, United States, starting in January next year. That's half of Ford's previous projected production of 3,200 Lightnings, with Ford's original ultimate goal of producing 150,000 units a year. According to the report, Ford's cuts will try to meet "changing market demand". To that end, the company said in a statement on Monday that it "continues to match production with the needs of its customers".

Despite the slowdown in car production, Ford has managed to sell more F-150 Lightning this year. As of November this year, the company had sold a total of 20,365 electric trucks, up 54% from the same period last year. It also achieved its highest monthly sales to date, with 4,393 electric trucks sold in November.
