It is understood that the Powerboat World Cup is an event sponsored by the International Powerboat Association, which is one of the most well-known powerboat events in the world, with a history of nearly 30 years, and attracts the attention and participation of top players from all over the world every year. The 2023 Powerboat World Cup was held from December 13 to 17 at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya, Thailand. 
After 5 days of fierce competition, Chen Shan won the fifth place in the professional stock of the 2023 Powerboat World Cup. This is the second time Chen Shan has stood on the podium of the Powerboat World Cup. 
In order to improve the competitive level of motorboats and achieve good results in the international arena, the motorboat teams represented by the Hainan Motorboat Team, Yanling Power Motorboat Club and Ares Motorboat Club have been training in the National Motorboat South Training Base all year round. Before the start of the event, the participating athletes conducted a 14-day high-intensity training at the base.
