There are two main ways to change a colored drawing or object to black in AutoCAD: by using the Layer Properties Manager or by using the Quick Selection tool. Here are the detailed steps:
If your graphics are organized by layers, you can quickly change the color of all objects by changing the color properties of the layers.
Open the Layer Properties Manager: Click the Layer Properties button in the toolbar, or enter a commandlayer
Then press Enter.
Select the layer: In the Layer Properties Manager, select the layer that contains the object you want to change the color of.
Change the color: Click the color square in the color column, select black, and then click OK.
Repeat the steps: Repeat the above steps for all layers that need to be colored.
If objects aren't well organized by layer, or if you only want to select a specific type of object, you can use Quick Select.
Launch Quick Select: Enter a commandqselect
Then press Enter.
Set the selection criteria: In the dialog box that appears, set the selection criteria. For example, you can select Layer, Color, or other attributes as filters.
Select a color: If you select by color, select all non-black options.
Click "OK".: Click OK and AutoCAD will select all the objects that meet the criteria.
Change the color: Now that all objects are selected, enter the commandproperties
Open the Properties panel and change the color to black.
Before changing the color, it's a good idea to back up your CAD file in case an operation error needs to be restored.
Some objects may have their colors set separately or be overridden by colors in the block definition, which may need to be handled separately.
If your drawings contain raster images or other elements that can't be changed in color using the methods described above, these elements may need to be handled separately using image editing software.
