From 1948 to 1949, Jiang Ping studied journalism at Yenching University, entered the law department of Moscow University in 1951, and graduated in 1956, according to the school newspaper of China University of Political Science and Law. After returning from studying in the Soviet Union, Jiang Ping entered the Civil Law Teaching and Research Department of the Beijing University of Political Science and Law at that time, and undertook teaching and scientific research in civil and commercial law. In 1979, when the Beijing University of Political Science and Law was reopened, Mr. Jiang Ping returned to the podium after a long absence, and took the lead in opening courses in Roman law and Western civil and commercial law. Commercial law, the joint-stock system, the company system, and the bill system, which were completely market economic things, were undoubtedly new in China at that time, and were very popular with students.

At the same time, Jiang Ping's research results began to win rave reviews. Immediately after that, he presided over the teaching work of the whole school, and created a new generation of atmosphere, so that many outstanding talents could stand out. In terms of legislation, Jiang Ping, together with Tong Rou, Wang Jiafu, Wei Zhenying, and others, drafted the general principles of the civil law and participated in the formulation of many civil and commercial normsIn terms of public law, he cooperated with Mr. Luo Haocai and Mr. Ying Songnian to draft the Administrative Litigation Law.

In the spring of 1988, Jiang Ping was elected as a deputy to the Seventh National People's Congress, and was then elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and vice chairman of the Law Committee. In the same year, Professor Jiang Ping, who served as vice president for five years, became the president of China University of Political Science and Law.

On October 12, 2001, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of China University of Political Science and Law passed the decision to confer the title of "Tenured Professor" on three professors, Jiang Ping, Chen Guangzhong and Zhang Jinfan.
