Hello, I'm not going to talk to you about practicing and learning in this issue. I would like to say that I have a dream. What's the matter, you may ask?

If you are a parent, teacher or adult who is learning the piano, or is ready to learn the piano, then this dream is related to you.

I plan to spend about 1 year summarizing the experience and experience of sparring over the years. It is mainly about the methods and thinking at the level of piano practice.

This is talking about the practice method and way of thinking, not the technical level, which is the responsibility and obligation of the teacher. But practicing is a matter for our children and parents, and we focus on solving the problem of how to practice effectively.

Whether it is the sharing of my practice methods and thinking, or the technical aspects of paying teachers to teach, the essence is to serve my own children, and the purpose is to improve my skills and art.

At the end of the 15th issue of "Intensive Practice: The First Choice for Competitions, Exams, and Performances", I revealed a small ideal. I want to help more children and parents solve some of the problems of piano practice. In terms of methods, several sets of practical, easy-to-use and effective solutions are summarized.

It's worth noting that I didn't mention the term "thinking toolbox" at the end of issue 15, and the reason why the thinking toolbox was added today is because I have been thinking about it a lot recently.

Methods can indeed solve problems, but only methods are far from enough, methods are better than thinking. The key to the implementation of the practice method lies in the change and recognition of thinking.

Two toolboxes

If you want to practice well, I think you need the blessing of two toolboxes. Of course, the word "toolbox" is a metaphor, so let's talk about each of them.

The first toolbox

The purpose of what I call the "Method Toolbox" is to help children who encounter problems with the piano at different times and cycles to immediately remove the tools (practice methods) from the toolbox and quickly solve the urgent needs.

Of course, this "toolbox of practice methods" is not only a technique, but also a method, and a starting point.

For example, what to do with a paragraph or subsection with a complex structure?Another example, how to practice in the face of a new track?There is no relatively correct practice flow.

I've actually updated some of the methods of practice, so I won't list them all here. If you are a friend who follows "Xiao Li's Growth", or a parent or teacher in my circle of friends, you may have quite a good understanding. If you haven't paid attention to "Xiao Li's Growth", I highly recommend you to pay attention. One update per week.

The second toolbox

In order to truly let children recognize the practice of the piano from the heart, it is necessary to make a breakthrough in thinking. This requires the dominance of another "thinking toolbox". It is the Tao and the mind.

Many times, the reason why a person is not motivated to do something is because the person who does it does not experience a sense of accomplishment in it. If a person is constantly frustrated by blows, then all that remains is disgust and disgust.

The best way to influence children's actions is to start with the bottom mind.

I ask you, what is really practiced for piano practice?Is it the right and left hand?Answer: Yes and no. What really trains the piano is the mind, and the mind must have thinking to drive action. Only when you approve of something in your mind can you have the motivation to do it.

Although the part about the way of thinking has not been officially updated, in fact, most of the titles have been prepared and have been in reserve. In the future, it will be interspersed with updates with practice methods.

The motivation of dreams

Friends who know me may know that I am Xiao Li's father, and I am also the parent of Xiao Li's sparring partner who has accompanied Xiao Li to learn and practice the piano for 4 years and 8 months.

In the past 5 years, I have experienced countless anxieties, pains, and anger just in terms of piano practice, and even the contradictions that have risen to the level of parent-child relationship. If you are a parent who participates in accompanying your child to learn and practice, you must be deeply touched.

I don't think teachers have such strong feelings, after all, teachers and parents have different division of labor!

Especially in the early stage of children's piano learning, ignorance of the piano will cause pain and anxiety, and the lack of piano practice methods will lead to ineffective practice and other ......Either way, it's a serious challenge for both novice parents and new children.

Therefore, I know that practicing the piano is very difficult for most children and sparring parents, even extremely difficult. Both online and the kids around me, they put a lot of time and effort into practicing.

Through chatting with them, I learned that the practice time they paid far exceeded that of Xiao Li, and even several times the practice time of Xiao Li (not against more practice time).

Why are their efficiency and results not as good as Xiao Li's?(I state here that I don't mean to belittle other children, don't get me wrong!)This is precisely this question that deserves every parent's deep thought.

In addition, I watched their performances** and the results were inversely proportional to the time and effort they put into it.

I know that most of the problems lie in the practice, mainly caused by the illegal practice of children, as well as the lack of guidance from parents, and there may be a little individual difference. They put in so much time and hard work, but they didn't get the results they deserved.

I believe that it is my responsibility to share my limited knowledge, sparring experience, practice methods and way of thinking with you through online articles. Solve some practical problems for more children and parents.
