Fortunately, the coastal artillery fired by the DPRK finally fell into the ROK-DPRK maritime buffer zone and did not cause losses to the ROK, but because the agreement between the two countries clearly stipulates, if the shelling is carried out in the maritime buffer zone, the agreement will be violated.
Now that North Korea is not bound by military agreements, training in the buffer zone is seen as a naked provocation by South Korea. Yin Xiyue** couldn't bear it for a second, and immediately organized a sea shooting training that day to respond.
As the situation on the peninsula continues to deteriorate, inter-Korean relations have also fallen to a freezing point, and Kim Jong-un has even defined South Korea as the "main enemy" of the North Korean side.

South Korea and North Korea shelled each other to show their determination not to back down.
