Chen Binhua said: The people on the mainland have expressed strong dissatisfaction with such remarks, because these comments have damaged mutual trust between the two sides of the strait and also hurt the relations between compatriots on both sides of the strait. I would like to emphatically point out that Taiwan and Taiwan are one China, and the complete reunification of the motherland is the aspiration of the people, the trend of the times, and the inevitability of history, and no force can stop it.
Chen Binhua said that he hopes that Taiwan's relevant political parties, organizations, and all sectors of society will join us in upholding the "92 Consensus" and opposing "upholding national interests, grasping the direction, bringing the Taiwan Strait back into the right track of peaceful development, and contributing to peace and reunification across the Taiwan Strait."
As to whether it is possible for the two sides of the strait to hold dialogue, Chen Binhua replied that all Taiwan political parties that agree with the one-China principle will not be hindered in any way. As soon as the attitude does not change, we will have the opportunity to communicate and dialogue. However, if we continue to cling to the "consensus of '92" and refuse to accept it, then all exchanges and dialogues will not be possible.
In view of the recent calls for revising the "de-Sinicization" syllabus, which will lead to the question of how to inherit Chinese culture, Chen Binhua pointed out that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have the same root and origin, and Chinese culture is not only our root, but also our root, our spiritual root, and our spiritual home.
He said that the "de-Sinicization" of the authorities and the "** forces in a deliberate attempt to achieve "peace" will turn the Taiwan compatriots into water without a source and roots in spirit and culture, and will further hurt the feelings of the compatriots on both sides of the strait and deepen the hostility between them. Such perverse acts and forgetting one's ancestors will certainly be strongly opposed by compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and will also be strongly resisted by them.
