The first ice and snow art season "Ice and Snow Silk Road" National Snow Sculpture Competition in Jilin City closed on December 20 in Jilin Ice and Snow Experimental Zone.
The competition is guided by the Jilin Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and hosted by the Jilin Ice and Snow Economy High-quality Development Pilot Zone and the Creative China Design Alliance. The competition attracted a total of 67 teams from all over the country to sign up, with a total of 268 participants. 15 teams and 60 contestants from 11 cities across the country finally stood out and entered the final stage of the competition.
After 5 days of fierce competition, according to the results of the expert review of the organizing committee, the entry "Mu Chunfeng" from the Yueyang team finally won the first prize of the competition. The Fifth Standing Team "Guardian" and the Jilin First Team "Fish Rhyme" won the second prize. Harbin No. 1 team "City Impression", Yili team "All Things" and Shijiazhuang team "Endless Life" won the third prize. Another 9 teams received the Excellence Award.
At the closing ceremony held on the same day, the organizing committee awarded award certificates and medals to the winning teams. The 15 participating snow sculptures will be on permanent display in the resort town of Beidahu Ski Resort for tourists to visit.
In the 2023-2024 snow season, the Jilin Ice and Snow Experimental Zone strives to fully demonstrate the style of "China's Snow World, the World's Great Great Lake" through a series of cultural and tourism activities such as the National Snow Sculpture Competition, continuously enrich the types of tourism products, and promote the ice and snow industry to break through the circle and improve the quality and upgrade.
