NVIDIA graphics card driveris a piece of software that controls and optimizes the performance and functionality of an NVIDIA graphics card. Sometimes, users may need to revert to a previous version of the driver because the new version of the driver may have compatibility issues, stability issues, or performance degradation.
There are two ways to return a drive:
1. Take advantage of the System Restore function
System Restore is a built-in feature of Windows that allows users to restore the system to a point-in-time state, including the version of the driver. The prerequisite for using the System Restore feature is that a restore point is created before installing a new version of the driver.
1. The method of creating a restore point is:Open the Control Panel and select System & Security
Then select System, click System Protection, click Create, enter a name, and then click Create.
2. If you want to revert to this restore point, select "System Restore" on the "System Protection" tab as described above. Then, select "Choose a different restore point" and click "Next". After that, select the date and name of the restore point you created, and then click "Next". Finally, select "Done".
2. Use the rollback drive function
Rolling back a driver is a built-in feature of Device Manager that allows users to revert a driver to a previous version. The premise of using the rollback driver function is that the old version of the driver has not been uninstalled before installing the new version of the driver.
Here's how to use the rollback driver feature:
1. Click "Start".
2. Click "Control Panel".
3. Click "System and Security" and then click "System".
4. Click "Device Manager" in the left pane
5. Double-click the "Display Card".
6. Double-click the NVIDIA GPU
7. Select the "Drivers" tab.
8. Click "Return to Driver".
