03 Introduction to CIEP courses

CIEP (Certified Intensive English Programme) means Certified Intensive English Program in Chinese, and the quality of the course has been certified and recognized by many authoritative organizations.

ELS partnered with National Geographic Learning to create customized instructional materials for ELS students. CIEP textbooks combine National Geographic's renowned engaging visual content with comprehensive digital resources to make every student feel special.

Curriculum and daily learning Xi environment

Among them, ELS courses are widely recognized internationally, and 650 universities around the world recognize their scores as an alternative to IELTS or TOEFL scores.

04 Classification of CIEP

ELS has 10 levels based on proficiency (Introductory 100 to Advanced 109), and each student takes a placement test before enrolling.

Based on the test results, students are placed in the course that best suits their current level. Depending on the level, the content of the Xi will be different. The 10 levels are divided into four levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced, with a certain level indicating that the student has the relevant language skills.

At the end of the course in four weeks, students will participate in another grade and if they meet the requirements of the current level, they can progress to the next level of Xi.

The CIEP level is compared with IELTS, TOEFL and CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) according to the level of academic ability.

For example, students who have completed the ELS CIEP Level 109 course Xi and completed the placement test will receive a certificate of completion from ELS.

Notes for ELS application application:

1. ELS language courses are on a monthly basis, and the duration of each stage is 4 weeks
