Bonding - into the sea to see the blue whale
"See whales when the sea is deep. ”Kang Kaixuan came into contact with Japanese learning very early, and chose to take the path of foreign language escort in the third year of high school. At that time, there were many colleges and universities to choose from in front of her, but she finally chose NTU.
She first considered the overall strength of the school. At that time, I thought of a few and listed a range. Factors other than strength include the desire to leave a distant country, the inexplicable affection for the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, and the yearning for the ancient capital of Jinling. In the small range she listed, NTU is in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and she is a northerner, and she has always wanted to stay away from home when she was in high school, and wanted to come to the south to have a look. So she applied for Nanjing University and successfully passed the professional assessment.
There have also been considerations between language schools and comprehensive colleges. In fact, she also struggled with choosing a language school. Later, she still felt that the possibilities of comprehensive colleges would still be broader, and she might be able to meet more students from different regions and cultural backgrounds, so she finally chose comprehensive colleges.
Nanjing University has a very deep liberal arts and science foundation and cultural heritage, and has an excellent academic atmosphere. At Nanjing University, students can also be exposed to other aspects of knowledge in addition to their own majors. In addition to learning Japanese, Kang Kaixuan also came into contact with other knowledge here, and she also discovered her interest and love for law here.
Explore – find your way through the ivory tower
"Life is a wilderness, not a track. ”Looking back on his learning experience, Kang believes that he did not make all the plans at the beginning. ButThe "possibility" of NTU as a comprehensive institution gave her the confidence to slowly understand herself and explore the world. The Department of Japanese Language has made her university life warm and rich: the teachers not only have profound knowledge, but also actively practice the spirit of teaching and solving doubts. Whenever she encountered confusion in her studies, she would take the initiative to chat with the teacher; The class teacher will also be concerned about the current situation of the students. The class size of the Japanese Language Department is smallThe relationship between her and her teachers and classmates is very harmonious. At the same time, as a starting student who has been studying Japanese for six years, she has plenty of time to explore her second major throughout her freshman year.
Although Kang Kaixuan did not delineate his own track, he began to think about the direction he wanted very early. Before she went to university, she decided that she wanted to pursue a second major. In the first semester, she decided that she wanted to study social sciences, so she took the initiative to participate in the social sciences tutorial course. After a semester of gradual understanding of the content of the five faculties, combined with her own development direction, she finally decided to make law her second major. When she was in a criminal law class, she was encouraged by her teacher, "The Japanese major is a good place to study law!"At the same time, there are also many teachers in the law school who are studying for master's and doctoral degrees in Japan, and this study experience has also given Kang Kaixuan great encouragement. With this encouragement, she increasingly discovered that her two majors could interact across disciplines – both civil law systems, and that there were many things that could be borrowed from each other and studied in comparison between Japanese law and Chinese law.
Entering her second year, two majors began to put a lot of pressure on her. The study of Japanese has entered the intermediate stage, and the pressure has increased dramaticallyWhereas, the law school offers five core courses in the first semester. Recalling this difficult time, Kang Kaixuan found that there was a lot of fun: "It may be that the school was closed due to the epidemic, and I just didn't go out too much." Because law is still a relatively new subject for me, learning new knowledge is very fun for me. At the peak of the course, she had a total of 11 core courses, and as a typical J person, she likes to divide her time into fine divisions. "There's always time to squeeze in!”
Wander – the wilderness of the world is up to me
"Read 10,000 books, travel 10,000 miles".The rich and colorful exchange programs of NTU provided Kang Kaixuan with the opportunity to go to Japan for exchange, allowing her to see the wider world.
In junior high school, Kang Kaixuan had an exchange experience in Japan for 10 months, which had a significant impact on her life and subsequent choices. Seeing the bigger world made her realize that her life was still very narrow, and there were actually countless possibilities in life. In her junior year, Kang Kaixuan participated in an exchange program at NTU and went to the University of Tokyo to study. The University of Tokyo offers courses in various majors to these students, and they can take courses with the permission of the faculty. Kang Kaixuan not only took social and cultural courses related to Japanese, but also took law courses. In her spare time, she participated in the campus festival of Tokyo University, and traveled to Hokkaido and Kyoto with international students and friends she met there. "People who know me say I used to be quite introverted, but now I'm much more cheerful. This time became a sparkling memory of her college life.
Both exchange experiences gave Kang Kaixuan a huge shock. Talking about why all these changes have occurred, she is deeply touched: "People may be stuck in their lives in one place all the time, and they can't look at themselves objectively and rationally. "After staying in a small circle for a long time, everyone knows the roots, she feels that she is already in a fixed template and it is difficult to change, sometimes she sees others actively socializing, as an i person also wants to try, but she is trapped in her own existing "personality". And when she went to a foreign country, a place full of novelty and where few people knew her, she had the courage to make a change. At the same time, international students from different countries have also brought multicultural collisions, and she has communicated with more people who are different from her own existing concepts, which has broadened her horizons.
I'm kind of a believer—At first, we just do something out of our own curiosity or intuition, but when we look back, we realize that it is actually something very valuable. The unplanned study tours and exchanges have enriched Kang Kaixuan's life day by day.
Rushing - looking back on the past and embracing the future
"It is only when the flowing water touches the place of resistance that it liberates its vitality. ”Kang Kaixuan did not choose Peking University for a master's degree at the beginning, she also considered many other schools at the same time, and also experienced many twists and turns.
The process of Baoyan has not been smooth sailing. At the end of May, she was turned away from the Baoyan summer camp at Shangjiao and Fudan. After that, although she successfully entered the camp and took the exams of Nanjing University and Law University, she failed again at the National People's Congress, and this series of setbacks made her fall into a situation of self-doubt for a while.
She was a little frustrated at the time, because she might have been more confident before, and she didn't even think that she would not even be able to pass the level of entering the camp later. As if she had been smacked with a stick, she urgently adjusted her state. Because there are still many opportunities in the future, and there are more colleges and universities that can be applied for, she was sad for a few days, and then recovered and continued to move forward.
She also reflected on this series of failures, and she felt that it might be because she had taken more courses before and was a little blindly confident, so she did not put in much effort or spent a lot of time in the process of preparing for the master's degree. It may also be that she passed the exams of NTU and Chinese politics and law, and she felt that she had the feeling of the bottom in her heart, so she did not prepare wholeheartedly.
Later, she looked back at this incident from the perspective of someone who came before, and felt that this was also a good thing. The defeat at that time pulled her back from her more laid-back state and sounded a wake-up call for her. Now, after going ashore, looking back at the twists and turns of the time, she only feels that the setbacks and even lessons in the past are all a wealth on the way back.
Kang Kaixuan discovered his love for law while studying Japanese during his college yearsOn the hot land of NTU, he wrote about the infinite possibilities of his cross-border future. May she always love and explore more possibilities in her future life in Yanyuan.
