Panerai, one of the top 10 luxury watch brands, traces its extraordinary origins and launches an inn

More than 100 years ago, Gudo Panerai developed Radiomir, a radium-based self-luminous material, which not only provided the Royal Italian Navy with clear legibility in high-precision instruments, but also established Panerai's proud legacy as one of the top 10 luxury watch brands. Throughout the history of Panerai, the Radiomir collection embodies the brand's original aspiration and innovative spirit. Now, through in-house development, strategic partnerships and sustainable development, the brand has launched the new Radiomir Quaranta GoldTech Red Gold (PAM01026), which will make its debut at Watches & Wonders 2023.

This new model reinterprets the pioneering Panerai watch with a modern vision, recreating the legendary Navy diver's watch of the 1940s for contemporary watch connoisseurs. Retaining the unique character of the first Radiomir prototype, the new model is designed to be simple and full of character, injecting a contemporary twist on the iconic design details and precision, combining subtlety and watchmaking savoir-faire to reflect Panerai's innate Italian elegance. The 40 mm case size is a new interpretation of the classic, and the case is 10 thickAt 15 mm, it is the thinnest of all Panerai watches, making it suitable for both men and women, as well as for different occasions.

The Radiomir Quaranta GoldTech Red Gold (PAM01026) features the collection's signature conical crown and is paired with a matte brown alligator leather strap for a casual luxury that echoes contemporary lifestyle. The classic cushion-shaped case features a white sunburst dial with Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock only. With a slight turn, you can enjoy the flow of light and shadow on the delicate texture, and the beige super-luminova material glows green in the dark. The watch is equipped with a strap exchange system that allows you to replace other strap styles from the brand, such as a casual calfskin strap or a shiny alligator leather strap, both available in a variety of vibrant colors for women, and the strap can be purchased separately for the wearer to match according to their mood or occasion. Subtle details give this watch a fresh, modern touch.

In addition, the Radiomir Quaranta GoldTech in red gold is equipped with a new generation of PAutomatic calibre 900 with a thickness of only 42 mm. It is the first movement in Panerai to combine a date window and a 3-day power reserve, and is water-resistant to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres). The use of esteel, which is made from up to 95% of pre-consumer waste steel, significantly reduces carbon emissions and demonstrates the brand's commitment to sustainability.

Overall, the Radiomir Quaranta GoldTech in red gold is not only a tribute to Panerai's heritage, but also a vision of Panerai's future as one of the top 10 luxury watch brands. By blending the classic with the contemporary, Panerai presents a refined feast on the wrist for contemporary watch connoisseurs.
