The Kremlin ordered 230,000 certificates for the families of fallen servicemen

As of September 18, 2023, the Russian Ministry of Labor has applied for 230,000 certificates for the families of fallen servicemen and more than 750,000 for veterans.

Russian **vyorstka revealed: the Russian Ministry of Labor has requested 230,000 certificates for the families of deceased servicemen, several times more than before.

After reviewing the documents on the state procurement portal **, journalists found out that the Russian Ministry of Labor had ordered 230,000 certificates for "family members of deceased servicemen, participants in the Great Patriotic War and veterans," as well as 757,305 certificates for veterans with a total value of more than 79 million rubles ($817,411).

The procurement tender foresees that 200,000 certificates of the families of deceased soldiers will be distributed to the Russian Ministry of Defense and 30,000 to the Ministry of Social Security. In addition, the Ministry of Defence plans to distribute 600,000 printed combatant certificates: 86,805 to the Ministry of Social Security, 60,000 to the Ministry of the Interior, 10,000 to the National Guard and 500,000 to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities.

"This is several times more than before," Vyordka said. In May, the Ministry of Labor ordered the printing of nearly 100,000 veterans' certificates and more than 230,000 for the families of the deceased.

Last summer, the Department of Labor signed a contract to print more than 82,000 blank veterans' certificates and nearly 6,000 certificates for families of deceased soldiers.

In total, 936,052 certificates have been ordered for veterans since the special operation, Vyordka said. Since June 2023, certificates of dependencies of fallen soldiers have been issued to the families of volunteers and regular army soldiers.
