The successive establishment of Chinese enterprises in Cambodia has injected impetus into the local economic development and provided many employment opportunities for local young people. Personnel in various fields have an additional skill of "knowing Chinese" on the basis of their respective majors, and it is easier for them to become the sought-after talent resources of Chinese enterprises.
A local girl shared her experience of applying for a job.
I won't have a Chinese resume in the sea, and I will automatically find a job in Chinese
Li Na is an ordinary Cambodian white-collar worker who used to work for a foreign company, but decided to quit her original job for future planning reasons. Thinking about slowing down the pace and slowly looking for a job while resting, what surprised her was that writing "can speak Chinese" on her resume made a world of difference.
On September 25, Li Na officially left her old club, and then entered a state of resting and looking for a job. She said her previous job had left her physically and mentally exhausted and quit because she wasn't sure how long she would have to rest.
In the process of job hunting, the little girl with two years of work experience interviewed several companies with the advantages of fluent English and double education, and also went to the job fair jointly organized by ** and private companies, but did not choose to join the company because of benefits and salary did not meet expectations.
On the whole, Li Na submitted her job through a third-party platform or directly to the company, and her job search path was quite normal.
After chatting with a friend, Li Na tried to add the word "can Chinese" to her resume and submitted her resume to the Chinese job search platform, but she did not expect that her job search path began to change from this moment.
According to Li Na, she submitted her resume to the Chinese platform on October 15, and received personnel information from a Chinese-funded real estate company when she was traveling in the suburbs the next morning, and after communicating with the other party, she decided to interview on the morning of the 17th.
The people in the Chinese company are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed
On the day of the interview, Li Na communicated with personnel in Chinese and English for about half an hour, and finally decided to conduct a second interview on the morning of the 20th of the same month. As soon as she came out of the interview, Li Na, who was standing on the side of the road, received a new job posting, and an agent sent her a message saying that a Chinese-funded construction company was hiring an accounting assistant. Soon, Li Na and the agent set the interview time for the afternoon of the 20th.
Li Na said that on the day of the interview, both sessions went well. Different from the interview with the supervisor and personnel of the previous company, after going to the construction company in the afternoon, she was arranged by personnel to wait in the conference room, and met many leaders and visited the company environment at that time, and the other party kept comforting her not to be nervous. She listened to the other party hard, for fear of missing the point, although her Chinese expression skills needed to be strengthened urgently, but in general, she chatted with the construction company quite pleasantly.
After the interview, it was supposed to take at least a week to know the results, but what Li Na didn't expect was that she suddenly received a message from a recruitment agency on her way back. The content is roughly that the construction company is satisfied with the feedback interview, and the three words "to be hired" made Li Na very pleasantly surprised.
Four days later, Li Na received a personnel recruitment notice from the construction company, and the two parties finally finalized the salary and pre-employment matters.
The next day, Li Na also received an offer from a real estate company. Being hired by two Chinese companies at the same time made Li Na a little entangled, but after all considerations, she finally chose a construction company because it is her field of expertise.
Regarding this job search experience, Li Na expressed her views on the increasing number of Chinese companies entering Cambodia. She said: "Now that Chinese companies have come to Cambodia to invest in Cambodia to help Cambodia develop in various fields and create employment opportunities, I think it is a very good result." ”
Cambodia is one of the first countries to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, and with the deepening of China-Cambodia practical cooperation, China has become Cambodia's largest partner for 11 consecutive years. The successive implementation of Chinese-funded projects has not only helped promote Cambodia's economic development, but also benefited the local people a lot.
