In the Spring Festival Gala of 2005, the dance of "Guanyin with a Thousand Hands" by 21 deaf and mute people shocked countless audiences, among which Tai Lihua became the focus of the stage.

However, despite her popularity, why did she gradually retire from the public eye after that?

What kind of life does Tai Lihua live today?

Tai Lihua was born in Yichang, Hubei Province in 1976 and was originally a girl from an ordinary working family.

However, at the age of two, a high fever caused her to permanently lose her hearing. This is a heavy blow to any child, but Tai Lihua chooses to bravely welcome life and feel the beauty of this world through dance.

Her father, a teacher, knows his daughter's pain.

In order to make her better adapt to life, her father spent a lot of time researching ear health knowledge and encouraging her to face the outside world positively.

Although Tai Lihua has lost her hearing, she has not lost her love for life.

She found her place in a school for the deaf and mute, and especially loved dance.

In the ** class of the deaf school, Tai Lihua discovered her passion for dance.

Although she can't hear it, she feels the rhythm through the vibrations of the floor and expresses her emotions through her body language.

Her persistence and hard work have made her a dance genius, and she has been guided by the national dance master Yang Liping.

In 2004, Tai Lihua performed "Guanyin with a Thousand Hands" at the Athens Paralympic Games, winning honor for the China Disabled Art Troupe.

In 2005, this magnificent dance appeared on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and she became a well-known dancer among domestic audiences.

However, after becoming famous, Tai Lihua chose to retire, return to her family, and become a good wife and mother.

At the same time, she is actively involved in public welfare undertakings, devoting herself to agricultural product promotion and social work, and is committed to improving the living environment of people with disabilities.

Although Tai Lihua has faded from the stage, she still contributes to the conservation of cultural relics and dance training.

At the Winter Paralympics on March 4, 2022, she performed on stage again to convey positive energy.

Her perseverance and hard work inspire us to face challenges bravely and pursue the value of life.
