How to activate cellular data network on iPad

To activate cellular data on an iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular, you can follow these steps:

If you've already set up cellular data** with your local carrier, the SIM card will be activated.

Open your iPad's SIM card tray and insert the SIM card provided by your carrier.

If you can't connect to cellular data, go to Settings >Cellular Data" and make sure the cellular data switch is turned on.

On an eSIM-enabled iPad, you can activate cellular service directly on your device.

Go to Settings >Cellular Data" >Set up cellular data" to set up your first plan, or select "Add New Plan" to add additional plans.

Select a carrier. If you don't see your preferred carrier, contact them to get a SIM card or eSIM.

Choose a plan and create an account, or add your iPad to an existing plan.

Click Confirm. Your plan should be activated within a few minutes.

Go to Settings >Cellular Data".

Click on "Add Cellular Plan".

Use your iPad to scan the QR code provided by your carrier.

If you're asked to enter a confirmation code to activate your eSIM, enter the number provided by your carrier.

If your carrier supports it, you can use it on the App Store **Carrier's app.

Use the app to purchase a cellular plan.

To change or check the status of your plan, go to Settings >Cellular Data".
