Yushu is a Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Qinghai, with an altitude of more than 4,000 meters, and the Zen Ancient Temple is the largest monastery in Yushu. The Zen Ancient Temple, also known as the Chuanggu Temple, was almost completely destroyed in 2010. After several years of reconstruction, it has largely recovered. In Yushu, I also visited the ** Memorial Hall, which is very shocking, and the severely deformed building can remind people of the tragedy of **.
In August 2015, the temple held a three-day consecration celebration that was attended by tens of thousands of people, and riot police were dispatched to the area.
At the consecration ceremony, I had the privilege of meeting His Holiness His Holiness --- Trung Ku Rinpoche. Trungku Rinpoche passed away on June 4, 2023, and when I met him in 2015, he would have been 82 years old.
Khenchen Chuanggu Rinpoche devoted himself to spreading the Dharma and educating all monks, lay people, young and old, bathed in his compassion teachings. Rinpoche travels around the world every year to preach the Dharma, and countless people have received teachings with the Dharma, and there are ashrams set up in Europe, America, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In addition, he set up the Four Preliminary Retreat Centres, the Tsanguseka Retreat Centre, and the Gyacheling Retreat Retreat Center in Nepal to provide free accommodation for monks who have no qualifications to retreat, and to create primary, secondary and Buddhist institutes for monks and laymen.
At the opening ceremony of the ancient monastery, I saw Trungku Rinpoche wearing solemn robes, surrounded by ** people sitting under the umbrella cover, I was not far from him, I saw him holding rice grains and water in his hands, sprinkling rice and water on the vast crowd of believers, and blessed the believers.
The entrance of the temple is densely packed with vehicles, and most of the locals are dressed up to attend, and it is very lively. Attending this kind of consecration ceremony in Tibetan monasteries is often a place to eat and drink, because the local people come to make offerings. I saw a young man pushing a cart with two large drums of butter tea and yogurt, and he was very patient and enthusiastic about scooping butter tea and yogurt for the devotees. I passed by his car, he took the initiative to greet me, asked me if I had eaten, heard that I hadn't eaten, and immediately scooped butter tea and yogurt for me, which made me feel very warm.
After visiting the Zen Ancient Temple, I also visited the scripture drying platform and the Balegou petroglyphs. It is said that when Tang Seng went to the west to learn scriptures in "Journey to the West", the scriptures fell into the Tongtian River and dried the scriptures. The petroglyphs of Balegou are cliff carvings, which are carved on the rocks of many mountains.

The deep mountains and empty valleys are far away from the dust and smoke, and the winter goes to the spring and does not remember the year.
There is nowhere to find the bell in the morning, ** sit silently and self-indulgent.
Nanxiang a cut plum end in the south secluded
Nothing to do. Sitting alone in the study is far from fame.
Thousands of miles of mountains and rivers are dreaming. The heart is also clear. The environment is also clear.
Flowers and trees are self-withering. Bamboo cover firewood door free to welcome.
There is nothing to do when you are drunk and lying down, and the wind is light. The clouds are also light.
