Open the Word document: First, make sure that you have opened the Word document that you want to edit.
Enter revision mode: In the top menu bar of Word, find the Review tab, and then tap the Revise button. At this point, the document has entered revision mode.
Text modifications: In revision mode, any changes you make to the document, such as adding, deleting, or modifying text, are recorded. Edits are flagged and the name of the person who made the change and when it was modified are displayed.
Formatting modifications: In addition to the text content, the revision mode also records changes to the formatting, such as font, color, paragraph spacing, and so on.
Annotations: You can also add annotations to your document to suggest or comment on specific sections. Select the text that needs to be annotated, and then click New Comment in the Review tab.
Accept or reject modifications: When you or your partner make changes to a document, you can choose to accept or reject those modifications. Click the marker where you edited, and then select "Accept" or "Reject".
Displays revisions: You can choose to show or hide revisions in the document. In the Review tab, locate the Show Marks area and choose to show or hide different types of revisions as needed.
Revise the color and user name: You can customize the color and username of the revision. Click on "Revision Options" in the "Review" tab and set them in the pop-up window.
Advanced settings: For more complex revision needs, you can click "File" - > Options "->Advanced" to make more detailed settings in the "Revisions" section.
When you are done editing and revising the document, you can exit revision mode by clicking the Revise button in the Review tab. At this point, the document will no longer record new modifications.
