"The wind and rain send spring back, and the snow welcomes spring. It is already a cliff with a hundred feet of ice, and there are still flowers and branches. On the evening of December 12, accompanied by the opening program "Yongmei", "Plum Blossom New Era - Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese Theatre Award Plum Blossom Performance Award (Chinese Theatre Plum Blossom Award)" kicked off at the ** Opera House.
Since its establishment in 1983, the Plum Blossom Performance Award for Chinese Theatre has gone through 40 years of glorious history. The "Plum Blossom Award" is the first theatrical performing arts award since the founding of the People's Republic of China with the purpose of commending and rewarding outstanding theatrical talents and prospering and developing the socialist theater industry. Over the past 40 years, "Plum Blossom" has been fragrant all the way, praising 726 performing artists, promoting the vigorous development of China's theater industry, and helping Chinese theater performing arts to pass on the torch from generation to generation. This time, 40 artists who won the Plum Blossom Award were invited to participate in the performance, and the new era of plum blossom was celebrated for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Plum Blossom Award.
At the beginning of the party, Guo Wei, the winner of the 31st Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Theatre and a famous artist of the Cheng School of the Beijing Peking Opera Company, and the three winners of the Plum Blossom Award, Zhou Li, Liu Jing and Zhang Xuan, took the stage together to sing the first program of the Beijing song "Yongmei", with melodious rhyme.
In May this year, Guo Wei successfully won the 31st Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Theatre with his new Peking Opera "Shi Ping Mei". A large section of "Cheng Tone" is designed in the play, from complaining, parting, and mourning to sending affection, sadness, and retination, and "acting with affection" everywhere, which is very emotionally tense. In terms of singing, Guo Wei adheres to the tenet of integrity and innovation, on the one hand, strictly follows the artistic law of "Cheng Tone", and on the other hand, closely fits the temperament of the characters, not only renovating the old tone, but also containing new laws and new tunes. She naturally used the water sleeve, one of the symbols of the Cheng School's performance, in the action design of the scarf, plucking, picking, lifting, shaking, moving with emotion, and skillfully using opera techniques such as rounding, turning over, and lying fish. For Guo Wei, inheriting Peking Opera is a natural mission infiltrated in the bone marrow.

In 1996, the new site of Beijing Chang'an Grand Theater was reopened, and the large-scale Peking Opera "The Legend of the White Snake" was rehearsed, and Guo Wei led the starring performance of more than 300 consecutive performances, which received rave reviews. After graduating in 1997, he entered the Beijing Peking Opera Company, and often performed in the classic traditional repertoire "Suo Lin Bag", "Dream of Spring Boudoir", "Tears of the Barren Mountain", "Dou E's Injustice", "Wen Ji Returns to the Han", "He Hou Scolds the Palace", "Zhu Jiji", "Yutang Spring", "Fenhe Bay", "Shilang Visits the Mother", "Red-Maned Horse", "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang", "The Legend of the White Snake" and so onAt the same time, he also actively participated in the creation and rehearsal performances of new historical dramas such as "The Royal History of the Thin Horse", "Sword Casting Love and Hatred", "The Ballad of Yiting", "Spy Sea Love", "Prime Minister Liu Luoguo" and "Lian Sheng**", and made outstanding contributions to the artistic construction of Beijing Peking Opera Company in the new era. She starred in the new version of the small theater Peking Opera "Oolong Courtyard", which won the first prize of the National Small Theater Excellent Repertoire Exhibition of the Ministry of CultureHe won the gold medal of the CCTV National Young Peking Opera Performers Television Competition, and was admitted to the graduate class of outstanding young performers of Peking Opera in China and the art Xi class of Peking Opera genresIn 2021, she won the first "Mei Lanfang Art Award" Performing Arts Gold Star jointly organized by the China Drama Association and Taizhou CityInheritance and innovation bear fruit, and the plum blossom is deserved, and all kinds of honors are well deserved.
On the stage, she has shared the stage with Peking Opera artists such as Tan Yuanshou, Mei Baojiu, Zhang Xuejin, Tan Xiaozeng, Zhao Baoxiu and other Peking Opera artists many times, absorbing rich and profound nutritionThanks to the support and care of contemporary Peking Opera masters such as Li Hongtu and Zhu Qiang, it has grown strongly. Guo Wei is humble as art, sincere and kind, art as life, Cheng Pai as blood and bones, overcoming obstacles, walking towards the light in her heart in a low-key and elegant manner. Guo Wei has a bright heart in his heart, and shines with the spirit of "perseverance, diligentness, and drama bigger than the sky". Don't seek greatness, just do jade and pearls, this is the awe-inspiring Guo Wei.
Following Guo Wei's "plum picking", the Beijing Quintessence Art Inheritance Promotion Association, the Beijing Peking Opera Company and the Shanghai Peking Opera Company jointly held the "Beijing Peking Opera Company Cheng (Yanqiu) School Famous Artist Guo Wei Cheng School Classic Repertoire Performance" at the Shanghai Yifu Stage in early December this year.
"Suo Lin Bag", "Dream of Spring" and "Tears of the Barren Mountain" are Mr. Cheng Yanqiu's masterpieces, each with a profound and positive social theme, and respectively portrays three female images with distinct personalities and different destinies. "From the content to the performance forms such as Cheng Cheng Yun, he has extremely high artistic achievements, and it is also a Xi repertoire that Guo Wei has learned solidly, has deep understanding and accurate performance. Liu Tong, director of the Beijing Peking Opera Company, told reporters before the performance.
There is no end to learning, and there is no end to art. With the continuous improvement of art, Guo Wei's desire to study the art of the Cheng School in depth has become stronger and stronger, and she hopes to pass on the art of the Cheng School in a standardized and scientific way. "That's my biggest responsibility. I may not be able to reach the artistic heights of my predecessors, but I hope to pass on the pure art of the Cheng School without being out of shape."
