On December 13, the "Belt and Road" Vocational Education International Forum was held in Beijing. Wang Songtao, deputy director general of China Vocational Education Society, introduced the preparations for the meeting. Wang Songtao pointed out in his introduction that the "Belt and Road" International Forum on Vocational Education is a supporting event of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation People-to-People Bond, which is scheduled to be held in Hebei on December 20-21, 2023. The theme of the forum is "Serving the Belt and Road Initiative and Improving the Adaptability and Modernization of Vocational Education". The forum was led by the China Vocational Education Society, co-sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the Asian Education Forum, and co-organized by the people of Baoding City and the Management Committee of Xiong'an New Area, and the main venue was located in Baoding City. During the two-day conference, there will be five main forums, including the opening session, the keynote forum, china-China dialogue exchange, experience sharing and project promotion, and the release of the vocational education collaborative development initiative, as well as four parallel forums, including "High-quality Vocational Education Services for the Belt and Road Initiative", "Vocational Education Policies and Development Needs of Belt and Road Countries", "Experience and Innovation of Vocational Education Integration in Vocational Education", and "Experience Exchange on the High-quality Development of Vocational Education in China". In addition, during the conference, 100 excellent international cooperation cases of vocational education in the past ten years, 100 stories of Silk Road vocational education with people-to-people ties will be released, relevant cooperation agreements will be signed, and cultural exchange practices such as exhibitions and performances of excellent traditional Chinese culture will be held. At present, 24 international organizations and world-class enterprises from 27 countries have confirmed their participation in the conference. The domestic participants included leading comrades of relevant ministries and commissions, the main responsible comrades of the headquarters of China Vocational Education Society and local agencies, the responsible comrades of Hebei Province, Baoding City, Xiong'an New Area and representative cities of vocational education, well-known domestic enterprises integrating industry and education, and the main responsible comrades of vocational colleges in the forefront of international exchanges. There were more than 500 guests at this meeting.
Wang Songtao talked about the characteristics of this forum, one is that the forum will focus on the important proposition of "improving the adaptability and modernization of vocational education". Second, the forum will actively build a new platform for vocational education exchanges and cooperation along the "Belt and Road". Third, the forum will become a window for foreign friends to understand traditional Chinese culture. Fourth, the forum will build a bridge of people-to-people ties through vocational education.
In his speech, An Yuemin said that the main venue of the forum is located in Baoding, which is a deep concern, full trust and strong support for Baoding, in order to do a good job in the forum undertaking work, the preparatory committee and preparatory work leading group of the forum have been set up by the China Vocational Education Society, Baoding City, and Xiong'an New Area, and the leading group for the preparation of the forum has been set up, forming a "one office and twelve groups" to promote various tasks with high standards and high efficiency, and ensure that a wonderful and fruitful international forum on vocational education is presented.
