In 2007, I came to Nayong County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province for the first time, and since then I have formed an indissoluble bond with the students there and the education there. Nayong County is located in the hinterland of Wumeng Mountain and is a national poverty-stricken county. As in many underdeveloped areas, the quality of education is not high overall, although the volume of education is large.

At that time, the Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang held a meeting in Guiyang, and after listening to the introduction of the leaders of the local education department at the meeting, I decided to do something for Nayong's education, so I promised "3 20", that is, to help 20 high school students with excellent character and academic performance and family difficulties every year; 20 Nayong teachers are trained free of charge every year; In order to reward the outstanding teachers of Nayong Bo'ai School, 200,000 yuan was invested. Before deciding to help, I went to Nayong County to conduct research. At that time, it took seven or eight hours to walk from Guiyang City to Nayong County. The township roads were crushed by overloaded coal trucks, and the roads were potholed. Whether you're sitting in a car or walking on the road, keep shaking and jumping. At the end of the day's inspection, I found that the belt had shrunk by two buckles, which was particularly impressive. In the process of helping, the group also sent many cadres to work in Nayong County, and some education experts will also go there for training. The winding mountain road and the people in the car are dangling, and it is easy to have motion sickness problems. The most dangerous thing is when you can drive, because the narrow mountain road is easy to cause accidents, and several times it is full of dangers. However, difficulties cannot stop us from taking firm steps. It is easy to get motion sickness, so everyone uses adhesive tape to stick ginger on the navel and grapefruit peel on the nose. In short, try your best to overcome the difficulties. We had a retired physics teacher who was in his 60s at the time and still travels back and forth to Nayong several times a year. In the past 17 years, we have never stopped helping the education of Nayong County, and with the support of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, we have set up a special "Fraternity New Era" for education assistance, and the number of students has already changed from the initial 20 to 40 per year. It is gratifying that up to now, the student assistance program has helped Nayong train 690 students from poor families for free, 100% of the students who have graduated have been admitted to undergraduates, 99% have studied in key universities, and a total of 15 have been admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University. However, financial assistance alone is far from enough to promote quality education. In 2020, we also innovated the form of targeted assistance projects, carried out the implementation of the "Small Hands Holding Small Hands" Precise Assistance and Love Student Assistance Project, and called on students from our schools to pair with left-behind children and students in need in rural areas in Guangnan, Yunnan, Hezhang, Nayong and other places in Guizhou, and donate Xi hardware equipment and high-quality resources for them, so that students in poverty alleviation areas can easily receive first-class Xi services and enjoy all kinds of high-quality educational resources. At present, the platform has completed 3,036 "one-to-one" pairing assistance. On the one hand, I hope that these students who have been helped can grow into talents and contribute to the construction of their hometown and social and economic development in the future, which is the greatest reward for the caring people who care for and support them. On the other hand, through charity in schools, children in the city can also receive a moral education. This year is my first year as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Previously, I had participated in the administration and discussion of state affairs as a member of the CPPCC at the county, city, and provincial levels, so I am no stranger to the performance of the CPPCC's duties. As a member of the Education Sector, I hope to do a good job in private education, provide differentiated choices for parents and children, and even more hope to contribute to the development and reform of education through political participation. Therefore, at this year's National "Two Sessions", I submitted a total of 10 proposals, mainly focusing on how to promote the reform of the education system and implement the overall deployment of "education, science and technology, and talents" in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, how to implement the financial guarantee for building a strong country in education, and how to give full play to the role of education in the rural revitalization strategy. Not long ago, I followed the special research team of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to Guangdong and Shandong to investigate the "construction of the teaching and research system of primary and secondary schools". Basic education should develop with high quality, and the construction of the teaching and research system of primary and secondary schools should be done well.
