The main materials of resistance wires in the temperature sensing elements of industrial RTDs are usually constantan, nickel-chromium alloy, platinum-iridium alloy, etc. These materials have high resistivity and stability, and are able to maintain stable resistance values in both high and low temperature environments.

Concopper is a copper-nickel alloy with good oxidation and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for measuring high-temperature gases and liquids. Nichrome alloys have high resistivity and excellent corrosion resistance, and are commonly used to make high-quality thermocouples and RTDs. Platinum-iridium alloy has high resistivity and good corrosion resistance, which is suitable for making high-accuracy RTDs.

In addition to the above materials, resistance wires can also be made of metal materials such as iron, nickel, and copper, but the resistivity and stability of these materials are relatively low, and they are suitable for making general industrial thermal resistance.
