The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement saying that Palestinian militants threw a large number of objects at Israeli soldiers during the clashes and exchanged fire with Israeli troops. In response, the Israeli army used drones to launch air strikes against Palestinian militants.
At least 296 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict in the West Bank since the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian-Israeli conflict on October 7, according to Palestinian reports.
