The reason was that a rocket artillery company of the 121st Division was ambushed by the Vietnamese army in a nearby canyon, and the squadron was extremely angry, thinking that the nearby villagers had leaked their whereabouts to the Vietnamese army, so they launched a cruel ** to the innocent women and children hiding in the cave.
