The Supreme People's Court's review confirmed that between 1996 and 1999, Lo Rongzhi and his lover Fa Ziying (who had been approved and executed in a separate case) colluded and conspired to engage in escort services in entertainment venues and skillfully plan robbery. Lo Wing-chi cunningly sought out potential targets in entertainment venues, and joined Fa Ziying in thrilling acts of violence, plundering other people's wealth or kidnapping to extort property. Together, they committed four horrific crimes in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and Hefei City, Anhui Province, resulting in the loss of seven innocent lives. In Nanchang, Lao Rongzhi lured the victim Xiong Moujia to his rented residence, and together with Fa Ziying, plundered Xiong Moujia's belongings, and then brutally killed and dismembered him. Lao Rongzhi used the key he had robbed to try to open the door of Xiong Moujia's house, and joined forces with Fa Ziying again to rob Xiong Moujia's house, and in order to eradicate hidden dangers, he brutally killed Xiong Moujia's wife Zhang Moujia and his two-year-old daughter Xiong Mouyi.
In Wenzhou, Lao Rongzhi and Fa Ziying infiltrated the residence of the victim Liang Moumou, forced Liang Moumou to lead another victim Liu Moumou to the scene to rob him, and brutally killed Liang Moumou and Liu Moumou in order to keep it secret. In Changzhou, Lao Rongzhi lured the victim Liu (A) to his rented residence, carried out a horrific kidnapping operation, guarded and threatened Liu (A), and together with Fa Ziying, forced Liu (A) to call ** to ask for ransom from his wife Liu (B), and then Lao Rongzhi took Liu (B) to the scene and collected the ransom. In Hefei, Lao Rongzhi lured the victim Yin Moumou to his rented residence, carried out a horrific kidnapping, personally participated in the ** and custody of Yin Moumou, and added threatening statements to the ransom letter. They bought a freezer to hide the body of the innocent victim, Lu Moumou. Together with Fa Ziying, they put Yin Moumou in a steel cage, brutally killed Lu Moumou and cut off his head to threaten Yin Moumou, and eventually led to Yin's unfortunate death.
The Supreme People's Court held that Lao Rongzhi colluded with the criminal Fa Ziying to deliberately take the lives of others, forming a chilling crime of intentional homicide. Lo Rongzhi and Fa Ziying conspired with each other to take illegal possession and resort to brutal and threatening methods, resulting in the death of one person. In the tragic situation of burglary, they seized property worth more than 30,000 yuan.
In addition, in order to seek personal gain, Lao Rongzhi and Fa Ziying also used heinous means to kidnap others, resulting in the unfortunate death of one of the kidnappers. They extorted 70,000 yuan of property in a way that was unconscionable, and their crimes were heinous and cruel.
In this joint crime, the crimes of Lao Rongzhi and Fa Ziying were carefully planned, divided into labor, and fought together. Lo has always been in a proactive role, playing a vital role and can almost be considered the chief offender. Their unspeakable crimes resulted in the death of five people and the tragic death of one person in the robbery.
In view of Lao Rongzhi's multiple crimes, the Supreme People's Court approved the judgment of the Jiangxi Provincial High People's Court on his crimes in accordance with the law.
