British Prime Minister David Cameron will visit Washington this week. This is his first visit to the United States since his return to the United States as foreign minister.

Britain *** issued a statement on Sunday (December 3) announcing that Cameron will begin his visit to the United States this Wednesday (6th), and stressed that this visit will be an opportunity to "reaffirm the strength of Britain's relationship with its closest strategic ally".

According to the statement, Cameron will arrive in Washington on Wednesday, where he will meet with "Biden's leaders, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken." He will also meet with Republicans and Democrats in the US Congress.

** Indicates that the central topic of Cameron's discussion with the US side during his trip will be "support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression and efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East."

Cameron served as Prime Minister of the Conservative Party of the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2016 before resigning after the British referendum to leave the European Union. On November 13 this year, the current Prime Minister Sunak partially reshuffled his cabinet and appointed Cameron as foreign minister to lead British foreign affairs.

A few days after taking office as foreign minister, Cameron made his first visit to Ukraine and met with Ukrainian Zelensky in Kyiv. He pledged at the time that Britain would continue to provide Ukraine with the moral, diplomatic, economic support it needed, "but above all military support......No matter how long it takes".
