AH3330 is an efficient and stable 5V boost to 21V 1A multi-cell boost charge management chip. With the development and application of science and technology, the function and performance of electronic devices are constantly enhanced, and there is a higher demand for power supply voltage. The development and launch of AH3330 meets this need.
AH3330 is a PFM step-up multi-cell battery charge control integrated circuit with an operating voltage range of 45V to 32V. The AH3330 uses trickle, constant current, and quasi-constant voltage modes (quasi-CVTM) to charge the battery, and integrates a reference voltage source, an inductor current detection unit, a control circuit, and a chip FET drive circuit. It has the advantages of fewer external components and simple circuit.
When the input power supply is connected, the AH3330 enters the charging state, the external N-channel MOSFET is connected, and the inductor current rises. When the upper limit set by the external current sense resistor, the external N-channel MOSFET is cut off, the inductor current drops, and the energy in the inductor is transferred to the battery. When the inductor current drops to the lower limit set by the external current sense resistor, the off-balance sheet N-channel MOSFET turns on again and then cycles. When the FB pin voltage reaches the internally set 1At 205V (typical), the AH3330 enters quasi-constant voltage charging mode to charge the battery with a small current. Only if the FB pin voltage reaches 1 for the second timeAt 205V, the charging process is over and the off-chip N-channel MOSFET remains in the cut-off state. In the end-of-charge state, when the FB pin voltage drops to the charging threshold, the AH3330 enters the charging state again. The AH3330 has a high operating frequency of 1 MHz and an operating temperature range from -40 to +85.
