Since the appearance of the 356 series, the first production sports car with the Porsche logo, Porsche's unique brand DNA has been passed down to this day with its excellent body lightweight, aerodynamics and handling.

As a Porsche Speedster series model with open-top fun and lightweight design, it is talked about by countless car fans and car collectors.

Speedster is the name of a class of models, usually referring to lightweight, small windshield, the pursuit of speed of the car, the original Porsche 356 Speedster is a world-famous speedster model.

After Porsche's successful entry into the US market in 1952, Porsche created a simpler and lighter version of the 356 for the US market. The aluminium body of the 356 America Roadster is handmade in Germany by Erich Heuer Karosseriefabrik. The 356 America Roadster was 160 kg lighter than the 356 Coupé due to its expensive lightweight body design, boasting an impressive 70 hp four-cylinder Boxer engine for a top speed of 180 km/h.

Fast forward to 1992, when the 911 Speedster, based on the third-generation Porsche 911 (964), was born, and unlike the previous 911 Speedster, the early version did not offer a Turbo-style wide-body body, only a narrow-body body, but the low windscreen, closed rear seats and "hunchback" design were retained.

Compared with the first 911 Speedster, the actual market response of this generation of 911 Speedster was not very good, on the one hand, due to the global financial environment at the time, even the Speedster main battlefield in the United States, the car's sales were lower than expected, and on the other hand, the design positioning of the car: the commercial version only has a narrow-body body style, unlike the previous generation with a wide-body body style, which makes many fans think that it does not look "competitive" enough And if you insist on making wide-body style requirements like the custom department, it is extremely expensive.

As a result, the 911 Speedster, which was planned to be produced in a limited edition of 3,000 units, was sold only 936 units (427 of which went to the North American market) until it was discontinued in 1994.

Although the market response is not very good, this does not mean that this generation of 911 speedster is not successful, after all, as the most beautiful generation of 911 models in the minds of many people, its speedster shape will not be bad, and there is better handling and lighter body, less than 1000 units of actual production, making this generation of 911 speedster collection value is also very considerable.

Today's presentation is an even rarer derivative of the Porsche 911 Strosek Mega Speedster, which only 15 units have been produced, including one that is currently being auctioned.

We can see that the car uses a very eye-catching Maritime Blue metallic paint and has a custom black and blue leather interior.

In addition to the new paintwork, the biggest highlight of this car is the use of a new aerodynamic package designed by German designer Vittorio Strosek with newly shaped oval headlights, and the overall transformation case is called the Mega Speedster.

Under the hood, the heart of this car is 3A six-liter boxer six-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed G50 manual gearbox.

It's a bit of a shame that the conversion didn't involve the power side, but the Speedster has Strosek-upgraded suspension and 17-inch oz wheels.

Beneath the black soft top, we can see the Recaro racing bucket chairs, air conditioning, Sony Bluetooth stereo and Strosek tachometer.

From the information on the odometer, we can see that the car has only traveled 5,907 miles so far, and we can confirm that this number is the original mileage of the car through a lot of information.

Because of its rare production numbers and high level of originality, Porsche officially issued a certificate of authenticity to the Speedster, and the car also has a full Carfax test report, which shows that the car has never had any accidents for many years.

The car will be officially unveiled at auction in early 2024, and the estimated price given is currently between $300,000 and $350,000
