He was a descendant of Li Ling and had saved two dynasties, and Emperor Wen of Sui issued an edict to exempt him from a hundred deaths.
In Chinese history, there were many heroes and heroes, who galloped across the battlefield and bravely resisted the enemyor strategize and win a thousand miles;or loyal and responsible, worried about the country and the people. Today we are going to tell the story of a heroic character named Li Mu. He was a descendant of Li Ling, a famous general of the Western Han Dynasty, and after hardships, he eventually became a well-respected general who saved two dynasties.
The story takes place at the end of the Han Dynasty, when China was divided into two regimes, the Southern and Northern Dynasties. There was a powerful force called the Northern Wei Dynasty in the Northern Dynasties, and their ruler was a wise and martial emperor - Tuoba Tao. However, the good times did not last long, and after the death of Tuoba Tao, the Northern Wei Empire gradually declined. At this time, a young man named Li Mu stepped forward and turned the tide.
Li Mu was born in a family of military generals, and his ancestor was Li Ling, a famous general in the Western Han Dynasty. Legend has it that Li Ling was unfortunately captured in a battle with the Xiongnu and later chose to surrender to the Xiongnu. Since then, Li Ling's descendants have taken root and lived in the northern grasslands. It was not until the Northern Wei Dynasty unified the north that they were able to return to their hometown in Longxi.
In the last years of the Northern Wei Dynasty, the Central Plains was full of wars, and the heroes competed for it. At this time, a northern warrior named Yuwentai rose up and became a generation of heroes. Under Yuwentai's hands, there is a group of soldiers who can fight well, including Li Mu and his two brothers Li Xian and Li Yuan. All three of them became Yuwentai's henchmen and made great contributions to the establishment of the Northern Zhou Dynasty.
In that war-torn era, Li Mu relied on his bravery and wisdom to perform many miraculous feats. Once, Yuwentai encountered danger in a great battle with the Eastern Wei Dynasty, but fortunately Li Mu rescued him in time and saved the danger. This rescue not only saved Yuwentai's life, but also saved a dynasty that was about to collapse.
However, fate did not favor the Li Mu brothers. After the establishment of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the powerful minister Yuwen Hu monopolized the power, causing the dissatisfaction of the Li family. Li Mu's brother Li Yuan and nephew Li Zhi conspired to assassinate Yuwen Go, but they were discovered. Despite Li Mu's hard work, he could not prevent the tragedy from happening. In this coup, the Li clan was almost wiped out.
Just when the Li Mu family was in a desperate situation, Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty killed Yuwen Hu and rehabilitated the Li family. Li Mu, who was reborn, was once again reused and became a generation of famous generals in the Northern Zhou Dynasty. Later, after the fall of the Northern Qi Dynasty, Li Mu was appointed as the governor of the state and was in charge of the military and political affairs in Shanxi.
Time flies, and in 580 AD, Emperor Xuan of the Northern Zhou Dynasty died of illness, and his relative Yang Jian took the opportunity to seize power. At this time, the local forces led by Wei Chi Hui rose up against Yang Jian. At this critical moment, Li Mu chose to support Yang Jian without hesitation. He sent his son to give Yang Jian a gold belt and clothes symbolizing the Son of Heaven, and asked Yang Jian to be emperor.
In 581 AD, Yang Jian formally established the Sui Dynasty and became the founding emperor Emperor Wen of Sui. Li Mu entered Beijing to meet him, and Emperor Wen of Sui personally greeted him and issued an edict to reward Li Mu and his family. Since then, the Li Mu family has become a prominent family in the Sui Dynasty, and its power is overwhelming.
During the reign of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, the power of the Li Mu family was too strong, which aroused the suspicion of the emperor. Li Mu's sons Li Hun and Li Min were killed and the rest were exiled to Lingnan. In this way, the once powerful Li Mu family gradually disappeared into the dust of history.
Looking back on Li Mu's life, he has grown from an ordinary martial artist to a benefactor of two dynasties, and has achieved a legend. However, as the ancients said: "The zes of a gentleman are cut in five generations." "The glory of the Li Mu family failed to continue after all. This history teaches us that no matter how heroic a person is, he cannot change the course of history. But it is the existence of these heroes and heroes that makes history more colorful.
