As he enters the final six months of his contract, Anthony Martial will have the opportunity to negotiate a free transfer with a foreign club. However, Tan Hag insists there are no plans to roll Anthony Martial out of the squad in January. If Anthony Martial leaves, United will be left with Rasmus Hoyland as the only recognised centre-forward.
Hoyland has excelled in the Champions League but has failed to score in 14 Premier League games. Marcus Rashford is another option, but he has also failed to make an impact this season. As a result, it has been suggested to bring in an experienced striker in January, with Mauro Icardi and Mehdi Taremi being one of the potential targets.
