Hearing this conversation, I couldn't help but think of one of my travel experiences. That was my first trip to Tohoku, and I also took a taxi at that time, and the driver was very warm and friendly. During the chat, he learned that I was from the south, and he started talking to me about the cultural differences between the north and the south. He said: "Southerners are delicate, northerners are bold. Then he jokingly said, "You southerners are small, like little potatoes." "I just smiled and didn't pay much attention to it.
However, this conversation made a big impression of the driver. While his jokes may have been just friendly and humorous, the way he joked about his height was uncomfortable. After all, height is not what makes a person valuable, and it shouldn't be a reason for others to make fun of it.
In addition, it can also be seen from this incident that there are still cultural differences between the north and the south. Southerners are delicate and elegant, while northerners are more straightforward and bold. This cultural difference is not only reflected in language, but also in people's living habits, ways of thinking and other aspects.
