On the morning of December 11, the 2024 Training Project Planning Work Seminar of the Teacher Training Center of Beijing Colleges and Universities of Capital Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the Higher Education Center) was held in the first conference room of the main building of the school headquarters. Song Jun, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of the school, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Heads from 11 colleges and universities, including Capital University of Economics, China ** College, Beijing Second Foreign Language and Chinese College, Beijing Information Science and Technology University, Beijing Wuzi University, Beijing Film Academy, China Opera Academy, and Chinese People's Public Security University, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Sun Tong, executive deputy director of the Higher Education Center.
In his speech, Song Jun thanked all universities for their strong support and active cooperation to the Center for a long time. He stressed that education is the foundation of the century-old plan, and teachers are the foundation and source of education, and teacher training is particularly important. The Higher Education Center should closely follow the functional construction of the "four centers" of the capital, based on the training needs of universities in the capital, give full play to the advantages of Capital Normal University, brainstorm and work together to continue to provide high-quality training programs and service guarantees for colleges and universities, and help promote the high-quality development of the capital in the new era. It is hoped that the participants will speak freely, make suggestions, and jointly explore more effective training methods and contents, so as to further help the construction of a high-quality talent system in the capital's universities.
Sun Tong briefly introduced the basic situation and existing problems of the actual implementation of pre-job training and short-term training for university teachers in Beijing in 2023. Combined with the actual work of various universities, the participants put forward constructive opinions and suggestions on the theme of the training course, training methods and daily management, and put forward the needs and expectations for the key training areas of colleges and universities in 2024 such as career development of young teachers, improvement of teaching ability, academic writing and project declaration, practical operation of information technology, ability improvement of personnel training managers, mental health, ideological and political courses, training of new teachers, cadre management and party building work.
In the afternoon of the same day, Zhao Junyan, director of the Psychological Quality Education and Counseling Center of Capital Normal University, brought a unique experience of "Spiritual Relaxation - Creative Expression Art Stress Relief" to the participants. The relaxed workshop atmosphere helped everyone effectively relieve stress, relax their bodies and minds, and further deepen their understanding of each other.
This seminar has played a positive role in promoting the scientific formulation of the 2024 training program and improving the pertinence and effectiveness of the training work of the Higher Education Center, and has also built a useful communication platform for the departments responsible for teacher training in various universities. In the next step, the Higher Education Center will systematically plan and design the content of the training project in 2024, conscientiously implement the project, and provide strong support and service guarantee for the construction and development of the teaching team of colleges and universities in the capital.
