FacilitationThe effective way to grow in life is not to think perfectly, nor to grit your teeth and persevere, but to find ways to get continuous feedback in the process of growth.
I made such a mistake :
Even I have always thought that I am a more rational person, and I once thought that I had to wait for everything to be thought through before I could start acting.
But where is the world where there are so many "perfect thinking"!
So, I get the impression that "I think well and say well, but I just don't act."
For example, I am like the "intellectual" standing on the shore of the field, everyone else has rolled up their trouser legs and run to work in the field, but I am still there thinking about life. Moreover, this way of thinking also made me guilty of "work procrastination": when planning products, I always feel that there are shortcomings here, and there is a lack of fire.
But there are so many absolutely perfect products in the world. If you only have good ideas and don't put them into practice, then everything is empty talk.
I also made such a mistake:
It's that I lack an overall perception of my work, career, life and other development goals.
will only pay attention to micro and detailed things such as attitudes, behaviors, etc., without thinking clearly about what his real purpose is and why he does these things.
For example, I started exercising two years ago, but at the time I just saw my friends around me doing it, and I just tried to imitate it.
But why I exercised, what health needs I had, what fitness goals I wanted to accomplish, I didn't even think about it.
You think, if you don't know what your needs are and what kind of physical condition you want to achieve, then the so-called persistence has no direction, and it is very likely that it will be half the effort, or even in vain.
See this, you may find out:
The first mistake is that if you just have a good idea and don't put it into practice, it will definitely not bear fruit
The second mistake is to just take action, but not think clearly about what you really want, and if you don't have the right direction, you can't reach your destination.
That's exactly two extremes! That's exactly what I've been working on this year.
My first improvement is called "There is a Beginning".
That is, "we must think in advance and have a preliminary idea": we must "think clearly about vague things in advance, and then come up with a targeted action plan".
The second improvement is called "having an end".
I interpret it as "results thinking": it is to be responsible for the goal and speak with the results!Until the results are out, everything I do is in the service of the goal.
The third improvement is called "continuous feedback".
It's that I've figured out the logic between thinking and acting: once I have the initial idea and logic, I have to start acting, and gradually eliminate the ambiguity in my brain by constantly obtaining feedback and thinking.
With continuous feedback, you can find a sense of presence and value; With continuous feedback, you can clear your mind and adjust your actions.
An effective way to promote continuous growth in life is not to think about perfection or grit your teeth and persevere, but to find ways to get continuous feedback in the process of growth.
From the perspective of human nature, without continuous positive feedback, it is impossible to be "self-disciplined" by one's own willpower alone.
Just like my writing, having effective feedback from readers gives me the motivation to continue writing, and it also makes my thinking clearer and clearer, and my actions more and more determined!04
Finally, to sum up:
In this uncertain era, for an ordinary person, what can promote their own growth and establish a comparative advantage for themselves is to be able to devote most of their time and energy to the field they love, maintain a strong sense of purpose, continue to improve, and get results.
Of course, in this process, you must think clearly about what you really want, you have to go to the best of the world, and keep connected to the outside world, and continue to obtain information and energy.
In addition, from the perspective of reverse thinking, the beginning and the end can also help me channel the "greed" in human nature, because if you don't know what you want, then you are likely to want everything.
Continuous feedback is the premise of rapid error correction.
Because in an environment of increasing uncertainty, the only constant is change, which requires me to quickly adapt to the drastic changes on the outside based on the information obtained from continuous feedback.
That's what I'm doing, with continuous feedback from beginning to end, and I hope it inspires you!
