Ancient villages tell new stories
In the early winter, when you walk into Shanxianmei Village in Suping District, the fields stretch out, the crisp and loud birdsong echoes in the countryside, and the unique traditional stone houses are scattered and ......In front of me is a beautiful picture of "poetic pastoral".
It is reported that the area of traditional buildings accounts for about 65% of the construction area of Shan Xianmei Village, but many of them have long been dilapidated. In recent years, these traditional buildings have been given a new lease of life.
Villager Chen Xuming transformed his family's vacant house into an inn, which has been occupied by many tourists since its opening. "Our house is close to the Northern Ecological Corridor and Yangtze River Ao, so we thought about coming back to repair and transform it into a homestay and inn. Chen Xuming said that with the support of the two village committees, many villagers have returned to their hometowns to start businesses like him, and the village has become much more lively.
We must not only protect the historical appearance of ancient villages, but also continue to integrate the characteristics of rural development in the new era. Chen Rong, secretary of the Party branch of Shanxianmei Village, said that in recent years, with the development of the cultural tourism industry in the experimental area, many villagers and young people have returned to their hometowns to open inns.
Nowadays, the environment in the village is becoming more and more beautiful, many villagers began to return to the village to settle down, only in the first half of this year, there have been more than a dozen villagers to the idle old house has been renovated, we hope that the next step can make the B&B inn special, become an effective platform to drive the masses to increase income and get rich. Chen Rong said.
Ancient ruins are rejuvenated
The site of Shell Hill Head is located in the northeast of Shanxianmei Village, and the site has unearthed stone tools, polished stone axes, stone bone arrowheads, bone daggers and animal bones. It has been determined that these excavations are from the Neolithic period six or seven thousand years ago. At that time, many pottery bowls, clay pots, clay pots and other utensils were excavated. Chen Rong said.
According to reports, the Shell Mound site was first discovered in 1964, and then two archaeological excavations were carried out in 1985 and 2004. In 1985, the Fujian Provincial Archaeological Team organized an archaeological excavation of Pingtan cultural relics, and they cleaned up 21 shell accumulation pits and a tomb in the site, and unearthed more than 200 pieces of stone, bone, jade, shellfish, pottery, etc., and thousands of broken pottery shards. Chen Rong said that these unearthed artifacts are all hand-polished, and some of the artifacts even have decorative patterns, "which shows that the ancestors of Arashishima have mastered some more advanced production techniques at that time, and the decoration on these artifacts can not only decorate and beautify, but also play a role in reinforcement."
In 1991, the Shell Qiutou site was listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit, according to the expert research of that year, the Neolithic cultural relics represented by the Shell Qiutou site were found in the coastal area of Fujian. According to the results of stratigraphic research, the site of Shell Qiutou is earlier than the Tanshishan cultural site discovered in Minhou, Fujian, which is a strong evidence of the same origin of Fujian and Taiwan cultures, and has important academic significance in the study of the cultural relationship between Fujian and Taiwan.
We were all happy to see those artifacts dug out of the soil and kept in the museum. Chen Rong said that the village also pays attention to the publicity of cultural relics protection work, distributes various publicity materials, and effectively enhances the villagers' awareness of cultural relics protection.
Tourists often come to stay in the village, and even more so on holidays and weekends. Lin Shuliang, a villager, said that now the advantages of Shanxianmei's cultural tourism are slowly being excavated, and more and more people choose to return to their hometowns to start businesses, and they can feel that the village is radiating new vitality.
