Mr. Liu Jude said
Every time I paint, I always put the thick black ink on the white rice paper first, trying to fill, grasp and stabilize the whole space. As for what the ink blocks, ink dots, and ink lines are, I don't fully know. It is this kind of uncertain abstract point and line relationship that triggers me and pulls me to wander with it. That is, thousands of strokes are not a thing, and in the end, they are all transformed into things.

In the face of all things, Westerners should "open up and see", analyze, and pay attention to accurate structure, while Chinese people "hold and listen", listen to them with energy, and pay attention to vividness. The former looks for what can be seen, the latter looks for the invisible, this is the difference between cultures, "open to see" and "hold and listen" are two complementary roads, one real and one virtual, they are all human wisdom. Since the late Impressionism, the affinity between these two paths has been greatly enhanced, and they are both in the same direction and close to each other. Of course, there was already an affinity for this difference in classical art, and it almost coincided with the late Impressionism. are all exploring the mysterious and unpredictable "Tao". Use the invisible to paint the visible, and the visible to paint the invisible.

"Dao" is a term for the Chinese's pursuit of ultimate truth, representing the Chinese philosophers' view of nature, the universe, and life. Mr. Lee Tsung-dao has a saying that I remember very deeply, he said: "Things give birth to the Tao, the Tao is the way of life, the Tao is the completion of the Tao, the Tao is the way of things, and the way of heaven and earth." I would like to use this sentence to explain why the ancients proposed that "it is best to imitate the body of the void with the pen of a tube". The purpose of the painting is to simulate the broad feelings and principles of the universe in which the Tao gives birth to all things, and all things give birth to the Tao.
