HASTELLOYC-2000 is a nickel-based superalloy composed of nickel, molybdenum, chromium and other elements, and its nickel content is about 55%. This alloy is designed to resist more corrosive compounds, including, sulfuric acid, and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to the previously optimized Ni-Cr-Mo alloy, the Hastaloyc-2000 alloy has the ability to resist corrosion in two corrosive environments.
Nickel-based alloy refers to a class of alloys with high strength and certain oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperatures of 650 1 000. According to the main properties, it is subdivided into nickel-based heat-resistant alloys, nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloys, nickel-based wear-resistant alloys, nickel-based precision alloys and nickel-based shape memory alloys. Superalloys are divided into iron-based superalloys, nickel-based superalloys and cobalt-based superalloys according to the different substrates. Among them, nickel-based superalloys are referred to as nickel-based alloys.

The excellent properties of the alloy come from its unique composition and structure. The combined action of molybdenum and copper gives the alloy excellent resistance to oxidation media, and the high chromium content ensures resistance to reducing media. The post-weld treatment of this alloy is also very important, generally in 1149 for complete solution annealing, followed by water quenching. In order to guarantee the best corrosion protection, solution heat treatment should be carried out after heat working.

Nickel-based alloys with other elements. The Monel alloy, which contains about 30 copper and was made around 1905, is an earlier nickel alloy. Nickel has good mechanical, physical and chemical properties, and adding suitable elements can improve its oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature strength and improve some physical properties.

During the welding process, a series of safety regulations and operational requirements need to be followed. The welding surface and surrounding area should be deeply cleaned and oil stains removed before welding. The weld metal flows viscously and therefore requires some of the necessary torch operation. In gas arc welding, the root bead welding should be 100% argon protected. Unboxed electrodes do not need to be dried, but unused electrodes must be stored in furnaces 121 -204.
Physical properties
Nickel alloys can be used as materials for electron tubes, precision alloys (magnetic alloys, precision resistance alloys, electric heating alloys, etc.), nickel-based superalloys, nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloys and shape memory alloys. Nickel alloys are widely used in sectors such as energy development, chemicals, electronics, marine, aviation and aerospace.
The minimum value of the mechanical properties of the alloy at room temperature
HASTELLOYC-2000 is used in a wide range of applications, including flue gas desulfurization systems, pharmaceutical industry reactors and dryers, industrial reactors, heat exchangers, pipeline chemical processes, etc. This alloy offers great potential for increased production, such as the ability of a reactor to accommodate a sulphuric acid mixture and then convert it to another operating condition for a nitrate-based mixture. Therefore, HASTELLOYC-2000 is considered to be a nickel-based alloy material suitable for various processes.
