Two domestic models of 5The 5G chip is about to be unveiled, but unfortunately it is not Huawei's work.

In 5G chips, Huawei is indeed at the forefront of the world, Huawei's first Barong 5000, this 5G baseband, once beat Qualcomm's X50 baseband, both technology and performance are stronger than Qualcomm's X50.

However, Huawei obviously no longer has the ability to launch 5G chips, so basically, when it comes to 5G baseband, you can only watch Qualcomm's performance.

Starting from X50, Qualcomm has successively launched X55, X60, X65, X70, and until X75 launched some time ago, it can be said that a total of seven generations of 5G baseband chips have been launched.

However, this X75 launched some time ago can no longer be regarded as a 5G chip, but 55G chips, that is, slightly stronger than 5G, but not yet at the level of 6G, are now called 5G-advanced by academics.

In fact, on 5As far as the 5G concept is concerned, Huawei proposed this concept in November 2020, but it was not until April 2021 that 3GPP really agreed to 55G, which is called 5G-Advanced, has been standardized since REL-18.

So there is no doubt that if Huawei's Kirin chip can still be produced, it is estimated that the world's first 5The 5G chip will be the first to be launched by Huawei.

But. As a result, this Qualcomm X75 is the world's first 5G-Advanced chip. This chip supports 10-carrier aggregation and Sub6+ millimeter waves, and the uplink speed can reach 10Gbps, truly achieving the 10G limit speed that 5G can achieve.

And after Qualcomm launched this chip, there was also news that the domestic 55G chips are about to be launched, and there are currently two manufacturers already preparing, one is MediaTek, a new generation of 5G-Advanced chips will be launched in the upcoming first quarter, and its overall functionality is not inferior to Qualcomm's X75.

Another Chinese company is UNISOC, which has a new generation of 5G chips, which will also be based on the 5G-Advanced standard5G chips.

5.The biggest use of 5G is actually not in mobile phones, but in industry, Internet of Things, autonomous driving, AR VR and other fields, because for mobile phones, the current 5G chips are enough.

But 55G is faster and has lower latency, so in the entire IoT scenario, it is an important direction for them to play the game through converged perception and autonomous driving networking. Domestic 5How the 5G chip will be, and whether it can compete with Qualcomm PK, let's wait and see.

I really hope that Huawei can return to 5G and 5 as soon as possible5G chips, otherwise the gap with Qualcomm may get bigger and bigger, after all, it is already several generations behind, what do you say?
